From Wookiepedia: The K-wing assault starfighter was produced by Koensayr Manufacturing, the same company responsible for producing the venerable Y-wing. Like many other New Republic starfighters, the K-wing was designed to excel in a specific primary role in combat while retaining the flexibility to serve secondary functions if needed.

I am quite aware that the EU has been canned. Though it doesn't mean that it is impossible that ep. VII might borrow an element or 2 from the EU. And even if they don't, I can totally understand.
All I'm saying is that if the K-wing does make a cameo in some way or another, it would be rad.

Hello deviant art I write this for everyone to read and I also asked for your opinion I did not like how Disney canned the entire expanded universe just so they could fit the SQL saga they had planned George Lucas was able to create the prequel saga episodes one through three and was able to make it fit it in both the film saga and the expanded universe too much time imagination and obviously money was put into the expanded universe to fit into the original trilogy and prequel trilogy should I start try to start a petition perhaps in order to get the expanded universe back plus if George Lucas was able to fit episodes one through three in the expanded universe to the original trilogy couldn't Disney have done the same they couldn't fit it after the last event with fate of the Jedi Abeloth The lost tribe of the Sith and the Star Wars legacy comics that featured Kate Skywalker the fellow Empire and Darth great there is a big gap timeline in there so why not fit it somewhere in there it may have been more than just 30 years like 50 or 60 but the prequel side I was focused on Aniken Obi-Wan and his friends just like the original trilogy was focused on Luke the Empire Luke's friends and much more so Disney could've kept it original with the new cast and everything would be expanded universe as well as the film sagas while I understand the need for continuity and fitting not all of it always matched like Luke are seeing the recording during the dark nest crisis that R2-D2 had of his father fighting Obi-wan and in the prequel saga the Jedi Council acknowledging the Sith from the Old Republic era which the city pretty much only existed well mostly existed in the expanded universe than in the film saga plus the word sith wasn't mentioned except for in the old comics I'm in tales of the Jedi it was only mentioned one storing the new hope novel of Star Wars where the word sits was referred to by Darth Vader and the rest of his imperials so deviant art do you think I should try to start a petition to get our stories back

I don't think a little online petition will help you get back the EU. At this moment with the new trilogy plus the plethora of new games, shows and other media coming out, I think Disney wants to start fresh with their own 'EU' and not recycle a lot of old ideas.
It's not to say that they won't look at the EU for inspiration; I just think that they want to start fresh. I highly doubt they would want to cancel THEIR current ideas for THEIR EU since they probably are coming up with their own stories for THEIR EU as we speak.
Not only that, if you want people to sit through a wall of text, please use punctuation and paragraphs to reformat your ideas. That way, your ideas will look more professional and it will look like you know what you're doing.
