To answer your question no he can't be caught in a pokeball XD A scene in the anime shows that when a human is struck with the return beam it just shocks the living hell out of them! And as frazzled as his DNA is I'm sure the return beam would have safety features in place to be able to tell what it's hitting is at least semi-human and just zap him lol

Well if it helps your thought process he didn't always have that arm lol He used to have two human ones until he goofed and lost his left arm Since the full story is way too long to type out the short version is his son cut it off after finding out he was a half human freak! He didn't take the news very well XD when he tried to escape a Dusknoir tore his arm off as a replacement (explaining the one armed gallade in my profile picture) Now to save the humans life the Gardie grafted the gallade arm to his body with a healing wish, but since he wasn't dead (just really fuckin' close) it didn't kill her to do so. However it did cost a large part of her life force (which is why her spike is shorter than other members of the species) I hope this helped clear things up a little bit ^u^ I had a ball typing this out, it makes my day when I get to tell people about these characters! (My apologies if they seem unoriginal I'm not a writer XD)
