HERE I AM!! BACK FROM THE DEAD! And more than ready to get back to work!I remembered awhile back from a fan that I should make a Sonic tutorial, well as soon as I got my Mac all of its new gadgets, I have now fulfilled that wish.
This tutorial will show you how I personally like to draw Sonic. It contains pictures and examples to look at, as well as my own typing to help guide you.
Please comment and tell me what you think. It's my first tutorial after all.

Awesome tutorial, I like you're style, it's more realistic than the official SonicTeam art, that is, if Sonic art CAN be realistic lol.
Wait, you drew that with a tablet? what program cause I'm having a hard time getting used to drawing with my tablet, got any tips?

Well Lemme see, I'm using an old Wacom tablet that I got from my uncle. It didn't work as well so I had to go into the program in my Control panel and configure it. Usually you'll have problems with where the tablet is going to draw on the screen, that is if you have a small tablet like me. What size is yours?

i use a 12.1" aiptek Slim Tablet 600U with a 10"x6.25" working area

Ahh. I see now, I don't think computer screens come up in 10 by 6.5, so I guess the art must be stretched in a ways.
Back at my school, I have a Wacom thats a bit bigger, but I had to fix the scale of it since it would make a horizontal oval when I try to draw a perfect circle.
I simply went to the System preferences (Control Panel for PC I guess) And changed the size of the tablet. And so far it's been working great.

Looks Like I hit a brick wall here. I lost the layers on the OC picture. I would have to draw up a new set of characters in order to properly resolve the problem.

Good. Thank you for pointing out the flaws. I was sort of concerned for the pictures being so small. Now I'm going to find the time to correct that problem.
And the hand tutorial will start up as soon as I configure the steps that are the most understandable.
In the meantime, please look for any obvious flaws if you can. I appreciate your help as a fellow deviant.

You have to keep in mind a person's advice, for sometimes it will be exacta.
I like to take as much advice as possible, as long as it's well said and thoughtful, not harrassing or flaming.
I mean if one gy would say, "Dude, take my advice, and go fuck yourself." I would shake my head and decline, you see. I might laugh at them a bit though.

how do you get an avatar?
and on the tutorial: show where the muzzle rounds off on the sides...and try doing different headviews (back, front, side, and 3-quarter [which you did])

You upload one to your profile. Go to profile and click identity, then it will show you where you put your avatar, Siggy, and writer tag.
You need a picture thats 50 pixels wide and 50 pixels high. All you do is upload a picture with that size and you have an avatar.

I was actually going to leave a snippy little comment, but I like how you draw sonic. I'm picky about sonic art since, everyone draws it at one time of another. Good job, and great tutorial.

Well Sonic IS wide spread across DA, with all the Sonic fans out there dishing out all sorts of things, so I wouldn't take it personally if I got a snippy comment. It's incredibly hard to make anything original on here, unless you picked up on something new from either anime or movies or whatever.
I would appreciate anything if it meant that my work was viewed. Whether it's hate mail or god send compliments, both will boost my morale and determination to do better.
