Description
Constructed many years ago by and ancient civilization and powered by dark glyphs and runes, they are worshipped by the populace. Unbelievably powerful and ulmost invincible, these mechanical behemoths can be called to do ones bidding through a complex ritual and the possesion of various mysterious artifacts. Although the process to control these ancient beasts is dangerous and difficult, the pure destructive force those who do complete the rituals are able to harness is almost unfathomable. Some are driven mad by the power, while others are found husks of their formers selves, their souls ripped from their bodies. However, these "Old Gods" may soon be needed, as hordes of demons threaten to overcome mankind. But, will even they be enough.Since they were created originally as war machines, the remaining behemoths are made of a thick metal, unpenetrable by almost any means, and they all posess weapons and strengths of immense power. Sometimes however, these weapons of destruction show glimpses of conciousness inside their metal shells. Is there something we're missing about these ancient machines?
----Data log: Origin
Origin, as this specific machine has been named carries a scythe capable of decimating entirre cities in one blow. It once possesed the power to destroy the very fabric of reality with the wave of its hand, but the salvaged ancient texts suggest that it lost the use of this power in a battle with another machine of its calibur. However, if it was to somehow regain this power, it would be regarded as one of the most powerful Ancients to date.
Origin's glyphs allow it and parts of its body to basically float, practically immune to the effects of gravity, thus, it is very fast for an object of its immense size (although this is still not very fast) As Origin's name suggest, it was one of the first ancients mentioned in ancient texts, leading us to believe it as one of the first ones built.
I hope you like this one everybody! I colored a lot faster this time, thanks to techniques learned from a FAQ , and the fact that I didn't go overboard on the layers this time
I decided against using the pre-made lighting effects in PS for the light near the top of the pic, and I thought the one I made turned out pretty well, so tell me what you think about that please
That's all for now, thanks to for sitting there while I colored and giving some awesome suggestions.

This is a very nice desing of this "creature", hopely when your skills get better we might see it again in a better quality and killer colors. But one thing that bugs me its the clouds that are surrounding him, mayby it would have look better if there weren't there, it just makes it hard to apresiate the cool parts of the "creature".

Thank you, and you're right about the clouds I think. I had tried to make a sort of spiral of clouds come down around him (and I kinda' wanted to show how big he was) but now I see it obscured him a bit too much
When I get better at coloring, I might do another version, with some cooler lighting effects or something
thanks for the awesome comment

Now that you mention it, this might make a cool sculpture...but I am not that great at using clay. Maybe I'll take a sculpture class or something.
I'm glad you like it

Well, this really fits in my forum thread subject... this is originality
i like what you did here, the pieces are not conected and not even close from each other, givin us the idea that this is manipulated by some huge power (as you say in your description) and the design of this is very unique, really gives me the idea of something very old still very advanced. Nice work
