Description
Chell, Rick, and Wheatley belong to Valve. Human alt!Wheatley and alt!Rick designs mine.When Rick isn't completely disregarding the Bro Code, he's quite the enthusiastic wingman.
Wanted to do some experiments with movement and background. I've never done a crowd before, so that was interesting to play with. As I'm lazy, I just did outlines -- I don't think it turned out too bad.
Enough of my talking. Let's all just sit back and enjoy some delicious Chelley.

You're reading too into this, dear. The "Secret Weapon" is Wheatley's dancing, because it's one of the few things he does well, but no one really knows about it. So when he DOES bust it out, it's that much more amazing. So, essentially, Rick is shouting, "Yeah, show her your trump card / Seal the deal!"

Eeeeeeehhh... I can see maybe one or two of the lyrics ("There's something inside me that's freaking me out \ Please don't leave me alone"), but to me the rest of the song really doesn't pertain much to their situation.

Not with your verions no it doesn't really fit. There was another fanfic I read involving the two of them and this song was a perfect match. I just wish it hadn't gotten taken down before I could save it to my computer. XP Every time I hear this song I think of that particular fanfic.

I have to say, Wheatley just looks so damn cute in this picture. I think its the smile he's got added in with it looks like his glasses are slipping down his nose. Rick in the background just cracks me up. XD

Wheatley's expression makes me happy because it's a rare show of confidence from him. There are only a few areas where he feels in his element, and by God, dancing is one of them.

Ahhh Rick, you have a way of just lighting up the room don't you? XD I love how he keeps calling Wheatley ginger because of his hair color, lol. That picture you drew of the bromance was funny, Rick giving Wheatley a noogie. I'm with Wheatley on that one, noogies aren't exactly pleasant experiences.
It does, most of the time he's shakey concerning his self confidence in most of your depictions of him. I think the morning after picture and the one where Wheatley is spouting off sciency stuff to Rick are the only other times you've drawn him with a display of self confidence. Here you can tell he's really enjoying himself, throw in the prospect Chell is having a good time too and I bet on the inside Wheatley's self confidence just shot through the roof.
Dancing huh? I would have never thought dancing would be something Wheatley was good at! Never struck me before but now that I think about it, it makes perfect sense given his body design. I can't even express as to how much I love this alt design of yours! I'm with you on the fact its just too easy to make him a timid/cowering moron. Its fantastic to see his character taken in this direction for a change.^^
I'd love to know what this 'secret weapon' Rick mentioned is XD Or is he just shouting random stuff to encourage his friend?

I never really cared about Rick before, but once I started playing around with this bromance he's shot up to my second favorite character. He is so much fucking fun -- throw in Wheatley, and together they make comedy gold.
I absolutely loathe how a lot of people -- even people who are fans of Wheatley -- play up the babbling moron angle too much. It's a gross injustice to such a subtle character (the fact that I used "subtle" to refer to Wheatley will confuse a lot of people). Granted, it's a large part of his image, but I love playing around with what lies beneath. I feel these little touches are what really bring this Wheatley to life.

Babbling Wheatley can be funny sometimes but yes, its WAY overdone. XP I only find it amusing if its a genuine situation that it would be completely understandable for him to be babbling. People have turned him into what I started calling the babbling whore. -_-; It is a large part of his canon image but alot of the fans are taking it too far away from the way valve portrayed it. I always figured it was just he hated ackward silences so he talked a lot. Or he was simply just very happy to have someone who was actually awake to speak to after all those years who didn't blatently shove him away or tell him to stfu. He just stuck me as having craved simple human interaction for so long and when he finally gets it, he doesn't know exactly what to do with it as far as his canon is concerned.
