I have a bag of film to be developed but there is NO local lab here where I live. I have to mail it out!! It's absurd. I can develop slides and bw but the color needs a pro processor.

Yes, unless I'm in LA. It's a pain because I don't shoot film all the time anymore. The chemistry ages and I have to remix stuff.

I was thinking of doing my own b&w. Need to see if it is cost effective. In Phoenix it is 2.50 to have it processed and takes 24 hours, back east it is 10.00 taking 5 days.

It feels dark, but not sinister. Sometimes driving in the rain is really scary, but this one not so much. Like the feeling very much. Hope the trip is going well.

Yes, it wasn't sinister...but I find that desert area very scary. It makes me feel claustrophobic.. like I could die.

There are stretches of road where I feel like that, but they're not in the desert. I can't explain it, but a feeling comes over me on certain roads where I start to feel very uneasy and just want to get away. One place that comes to mind is a well-travelled stretch of freeway that I have to take once in a while -- it's a very scary feeling, so I'm happier finding an alternate route when I can. Can't always do that though.
