Description ... some rain must fall.

I have a few friends on dA who have been feeling bad. I've been thinking of you and actually been feeling a bit low myself. So these three are for you and for me.

This is sweet of you, I hate seeing the poor dog but the intent behind the pic is so wonderful!
We have so many people around here who should never own animals of anykind. (I got so upset thinking about this last night I had to wait to finish this today!) We have a parvo epidemic in our area because of stupid people. This one youg lady, (I use the term lightly) a 21 year old going on 8, had a dog with parvo and kept bringing it aroud to peoples homes who had young dogs. She was not where it originated but is soley resopnsible for spreading it all over our tiny town. Less than a week after her pup died she got a new puppy and had not disinfected any part of her home. I have called the spca on her, she has malnourished horses as well. She truly loves animals and lacks the mental capacity and $ to properly care for any animal. The only pet she should have is a pet rock. This is one of the extreems here but so many people here just should not have animals. You have to get a license to drive you should have to have one for animals and kids as well. There would be a lot less animal and child abuse if people had to be licensed to have them.

I just hate people who are mean to dogs or people... I thought it was mean to leave that dog outside in the rain. I'd have put mine in the car. But in their behalf, I saw them feeding her a child sized dairy freeze later on. ??

Your story is heartrending...

When I have to leave dogs which is rare I either leave them locked in w/ AC or Tyf holds them on leash outside of the store. Even when we are unloading for a dog show we pit a fan in the car window and when they are crated.

That dog was so darling... it wasn't raining too hard but you could tell it wasn't used to being rained on and I thought that was a good sign. Later I saw the owners feeding it a dairy twist... LOL

Happy to make you smile, my sweet! You deserve it!

This series of three was meant for the folks I know on dA who are having trouble of one sort or another... some feeling just awful and for good reason. I was hoping for a bit of duplication of their feelings, along with a ray, twinkle of hope.

myrnajacobs In reply to MildInsomnia [2005-07-23 17:15:05 +0000 UTC]

Yes, they had tied him to a bench outside the brewery. No overhang there even so he could stand out of the rain.

ahh...people can be so stupid. One of my mom's friends used to have this beautiful golden retreiver that she kept tied up in her yard. she wouldn't even let it in during the winter. it was really sad to see a dog treated like that.

I hope so. I've had quite a few dA friends send me notes or e-mails about sadness and such in their lives. I love all those guys so much I just had to do a few shots for them. I, like you, tend to bounce back fairly quickly but some people are not so lucky. And, some I happen to know have far greater burdens..

I'm hoping my friends who are having troubles do too.

I don't really have it in perspective. I thought the people were obnoxious to leave the dog out there! I'd never have done it to mine. I almost went and set it loose so it could run inside!
