I've been checking out some things from the Sonic Archie comics and there are some interesting things there.This is Eclipse the Darkling, a Black Arms warrior who is pretty much Shadow without the Hedgehog parts. The Dark Arms are corrupted wisps that Eclipse can use to gain powers. There's Blurk (Blue Wisp) Cregal (Crimson Wisp) Cyzer (Cyan Wisp) and Rhygenta (Magenta Wisp).
I wanted to make my own Dark Arm, the pink one named Pyke. It grants Eclipse the Claws Dark Arm Power which grants him powerful claws that can slash through steel, climb walls, and fire off energy spikes.
I'll be looking for more things from the Archie to draw. It's much more expansive and detailed than the game universe.

I've only just started looking into the comics (just the post-super genesis wave arc) and i'm already liking what I see. I may do more Archie stuff when I have the time.

Well, I've thought about there being 12 Dark Arms (exluding White, Purple, Violet, and Black).
Here are some ideas: Redurst, Oraket, Yedrill, Greever, Ingeroid, Grake, and Ivoning.

Taking into account that Eclipse's abilities with the Dark Arms are called Laser, Wing, Armor, and Sonic Cannon:
Redurst: Flare Sphere
Oraket: Rocket Launcher
Yedrill: Drill
Greever: Light Pulse
Ingeroid: Density Shifter
Grake: Quake
Ivoning: Bolt Sphere

maybe Redurst could be a sort of fiery aura (Blurk gives him armor). His spines would gain a fiery design and he would be given fire powers.
Yedrill could give him a Gurren Laggan style drill.
I did originally think that Oraket could give him rocket boots and give him outer-atmospheric/faster flight than Cregal's wing power. but i think that'd be lazy.
All the others, I'm not sure. Maybe a Black bomb Dark Arms could give him access to a Chaos Blast-like power?

You know how there's some creatures where bombs dig into their skin, right? Well, he'd select an arm for this task, and select the other arm to throw the bombs off his skin.

Yeah, as long as Ivoning is an electric version of Redurst. The basis of these two are based on the Fire and Thunder Shields.
Flare Aura & Bolt Aura need to happen! XD
(All we need is an Aquatic-based Wisp for the Aqua Shield! 
Had to look up Gurren Laggan, so yeah. Drills for hands was my initial idea.
That's a good idea for Oraket. I still think he should still fire rockets.
Greever and Grake are based on their abilities in the games. Greever would launch rings of light and hover. Grake can walk on walls and send out quakes. Ingeroid can shift the gravity around him and use the terrain to his advantage.

I'll take up your Ivoning. But I'm not sure how Oraket would go? I was gonna give him rocket boots. So how would Eclipse also fire rockets?
As for Greever Grake and Ingeroid, I understand their abilities but what would they manifest as (ex: gauntlets, armor, etc.)?

With Oraket, he could shoot rockets out of his legs! He kicks and sends out a rocket from the exhaust points.
Greever would have green satellites for hands. Grake would have gray cannonball-like hands and feet. Ingeroid could become indigo and give him orbital rings around his arms and feet.

So for Oraket would make his kick out Rockets.
Maybe Grake could just be giant Gauntlets/Fists
Maybe Ingeroid could be a Black Hole Blaster like in Destroy All Humans!

The power doesn't have to mimic everything. Plus I already gave wall crawling to the Claws. So I think I'll stick with just fists for now.
If a Black Hole sounds too OP then i can just make it a Gravity Gun (Telekenetically lifting and throwing stuff).

All right. True that Spikes and Quake have that same ability.
I don't really know actually. I was thinking Density Shifter would give him the ability to change the area surrounding him, which is essentially telekinetically moving stuff...
Black Hole would be closer to Violet Void, and that species is gone (Nega Wisps are all gone for all we know).
