Description
"Celebration"A wolf family depicted celebrating the pup's coming out of their den for the first time.
Evidently the excitement is contagious as the pups join in the chorus. ^u^
I submitted this drawing and it got accepted to be featured in the "Wolf Warriors II: The National Wolfwatcher Coalition"
published by Thurston Howl Publications.
The anthology features a collection short stories, poetry, and art, and I am so happy/excited to be apart of it!
Helping animals is what I want do do most with my art, and now I finally can. So a big thank you to Wolfwatcher for accepting my art!
The book's release was the 1st of December 2015.

Wow, I admire the detail and dedication that went into this, especially with all the wolves included and their detailed fur. I especially like the black wolf near the top that looks like it is trying to howl and lick it's partner at the same time. XD

But yes just like that. Wolves behave similarly when rally howling,
although not to that extreme that dog had good reason to be very happy. ^^

Although excitement typically simmers down into dominance displays.
When a pack is excited there is a lack of control, things are chaotic lol so the more dominant
individuals have to re-assert themselves quickly. But in the beginning you can see just how similar the excitement between wolves and dogs are.

Native Americans used to regularly crawl into wolf dens just to play with the pups, atleast that's whats said in the book
"the Great American Wolf" by Bruce Hampton. A historical record of sorts.

I think this drawing is amazing, but I'd like to offer my advice... I think your wolf, that's looking like it's looking at us, needs some work. the rest of the wolves and pups look amazing. but that one stands out the most, so might want to work on your forward facing wolf some more. but I do love this picture!

It's more the face area; where the eyes, nose/snout, and mouth are, the dark areas. i hope that helps...
