Thanks for looking out. She sent me a note. I expect others to give credit where it's due if they use it in derivative works or for their personal use elsewhere on the web. Being able to download a picture doesn't mean they don't have to do that.

Rarity for some reason managed to lift 2 tons TOM and have some experience in martial arts, but she is still Unicorn, you can turn Unicorn magic off with no magic rule or magic restrain ring, or you can tied up wings with no flying rule on pegasus, but how can you turn off Earth Pony strength and endurance ?, thats it, you can not, Earth ponies will always have huge advantage in all sports what have no magic and no wing rule in it, poor Rarity.

While it's usually unwise to underestimate Rarity, I'm afraid I'll have to place my bets on AJ. Rarity is a mare of many talents, but I do not believe running is one of them.

Honestly? I'd like to think Rarity, despite how girly she is, could hold herself in a race with Applejack

I sincerely doubt that Rarity, working with her Magic and now and then front legs would have enough physique to out-run Applejack, who's not only basically working all day every day, but performs most of her work using her hind legs, which are vital for running. Not only would Rarity run out of breath long before Applejack, but I doubt she'd ever even be able to catch up.
... I'm sorry for this. A lot of time and a nerdy brain are my only excuse.

I don't think Rarity's athletic ability--however good that might be--is something that's really determinable considering it's not something the show focuses on, but it's definitely there (Sisterhooves Social, anyone?) Granted, Applejack would have the advantage and I'm not saying Applejack wouldn't win, it'd just be more interesting (at least to me) were Rarity able to have athletic capabilities despite her lack of outright strength like AJ and Rainbow Dash have.
