I'm sick of teen angst stories PERIOD! Hell, I'm sick of all angsty suicidal emo fest stories in general, whether they are for teens or not. I'm trying to be a writer myself and I so refuse to go into gloom fest emo mode with my stories, even if some stories don't have the typical fairy tale ending. I'm just sick of angst being a substitute for deep storytelling, which it's not.

i admit i like the hunger games and even like the movie. i thought it was a good movie. that's the only reason i got interested in the series. i'd say it's actually a good story that's unique and very much different from twilight. twilight sucks because of it's grammar and plot, not to mention characters. twilight could be mistook for a crappy harlequin romance, whereas hunger games not so. i think the problem with the hunger games is it's fanbase, not the book itself.

I AGREE. The first book was okay but it not my favorite.
The people who die over it either watch it because it's live or death and because it a kinda romance novel/movie and because it's a movie, which happens to have Josh Hutcherson and Liam hemsworth.

Yes, I read the book even before to watch the film, and I only watched the film to find the mistakes the movie creators made.
But I look forward to see the second movie.
