Five years ago today, I posted my first picture on "The Lion King Fan-Art Archive." I know I still have a long way to go, but I've also made it a fair distance.When I was contemplating what to draw to celebrate, suggested I do something with wood, the traditional 5 year gift. And so here stands Simba at the tree that changed his life. And whlie not the same, that archive changed my life in so many ways. I thank it.
Simba belongs to Disney.

Congradulations, Cassie! There isn't much to be said that hasn't been, but I'll say it too. There is a definitive weight to Simba's expression and I, for one, definitely "get" the point of this piece and get that sense of looking back at the past as it is in the present (deeeeeeep). The textures and colors are beautiful, vivid, and definitely reminiscent of the movie itself. w00t! Can't wait to see what comes next!

This is beautiful, I love the expression on Simba's face, but am also very impressed with just the rocks and the ravine walls. Super awsome, and congrats on the five year anniversary, its nice to stick to anything for that long.

when I started there I only drew lions. Then I branched out. So, I should say the same thing. No one's perfect when they begin. If you stalk TLKFAA you know that there are tones far better t han me who had only been there half the time I have or less. But if you keep at it ou get better and better. And why not try to expand your own horrizons in an uberfriendly community! ^.^
