Outstory and Elif (c) NanoBanana

This is my latest brain-worm (metaphorically speaking of course). He was originally supposed to be a design for a project I'm helping with, but I decided I liked him too much as an OC (and he didn't really fit with the project anyway, so it all worked out).

MAJOR NOTES: Elif is NOT a Sans, Papyrus, or a Gaster. He is the predecessor of Sans and Papyrus (and the Gaster Blasters), created by Gaster's own magic like a golem. He is NOT from Communitale or any established AU. See Origin below for more information.

Designation: H1D4-EX-327

Name: Elif (ay-LEEF) (he chose it from a name book after leaving the Void and being taken in)

Gender / Age: Male / Unknown

Height: 7'5" (226 cm)

Origin: In his home AU (which is basically standard Undertale with a few minor tweaks), he was created by W.D. Gaster shortly after the Monsters were sealed in the Underground. This happens before the creation of the Gaster Blasters, Sans, and Papyrus (who all came later and are refined from his discoveries in developing Elif). Created as a weapon to destroy the barrier, Elif was part of the "Container" experiments to hold artificial human Souls. He was the only one to survive and "wake up" after being activated. The Monster magic used to create him resulted in the beginning of a small Monster Soul as well, which Gaster found ideal for slipping out of the Barrier, collecting the correct number of Souls, and returning to free all of Monster-kind. Unfortunately, an artificial human Soul and undeveloped Monster soul weren't enough. Gaster cast him into the Void as a failed project before moving onto the Blasters. Elif floated in the Void alive but ultimately shut down for a long time before falling out somewhere.

Personality: Due to the Justice nature of his artificial human Soul, he is heavily predisposed to a strong sense of right and wrong, but he lacks the experience to know how to act on it. He is very physically affectionate with people and is deeply afraid of being left alone or in dark rooms for too long. Instead of crying out or even leaving things that frighten him, he tends to shut down and wait for someone to come get him. He is subservient to any Gaster that interacts with him and will do what he's told without question, even if doing so would hurt him. With others, he's curious and generally outgoing, though he doesn't speak much. His voice is soft, just above a whisper, when he talks. He will not wear black unless absolutely necessary. He loves brightly colored clothing and has taken a liking to collecting graphic t-shirts.

Magic: He is able to summon bone attacks like other skeleton-type Monsters, but he also has access to gravity magic, teleportation, and a powerful laser that fires out of his chest cavity. Aside from being physically strong, Elif is agile and quick on his feet, which means he doesn't usually have to rely on teleportation. His magic is still rather unstable, however, and can sometimes do unusual things when provoked (or even backfire). Due to this, he doesn't like using magic much. He has a great deal of physical endurance that was meant to let him take the brunt of the Barrier's magic. He can communicate with Gaster Blasters (and most tend to like him without much prompting).

Likes and Dislikes: Elif loves music and sounds of almost any kind. He loves all colors and likes being outside. He loves food, any kind of food, but he does tend to prefer things with a strong flavor. He dislikes silence, darkness, and anything that reminds him of the time he spent in the Void. He shies away from any and all Gasters if given the option, but he is extremely curious about any Sans and/or Papyrus he comes across.
