I used your technique (for the most part because I forgot the cling film, idiot me) But it turned out mostly alright. The next plushie will be glorious!

This is absolutely genius. I have so much newspaper sitting around. Heck I could probably even use some left over party balloons for some shapes, or interesting ones at least. Thank you for sharing this!

This is uch a fantastic tutorial. It is similar to how I pattern plushies. Do you use fusible interfacing on stretch fabrics?

NataliaVulpes In reply to GreenTeaCreations [2015-01-05 00:43:53 +0000 UTC]
No, if you only use stretch fabrics the plushie becomes really soft, it'll be a bit bigger than the newspaper model though.

This is exactly the kind of information I needed. thank you.
hopefully my next project will look better than a headless turtle... with only right legs.
(I tried the method... just start and see what you get. it doesn't work.)
those parts that you removed and flattened... hm I have to find out what process that allows one to remove them.
because, in my mind the paper sticks. hm. and then there is the strange idea I had of using a glue gun.
perhaps needle and thread is the way to go.
none the less, inspirational it is.
have a day. // Jesagon

That's why you use the plastic warp, so the tape don't stick to the paper and you can remove it

Ethylene-vinyl acetate. It is a synthetic rubber-like foam.
