Description
EDIT: Added wing height to size comparison chart.I've been working on this thing for the past three days!
So, after everything on this sheet was done I gave it a pretty background and then VWALA! Pretty Neffy!!! I am very pleased with how her fire turned out too.
After shading her wings though I felt like I was just gonna straight up die right then and there!
But, overall I think I captured all of her details and they are well organized. ^_^
Enjoy!!!

Okay! It's official! I'm gonna be keeping a VERY CLOSE EYE on dragonessess with unusually long tails, and somewhat similar coloration with Neffy
But great job! I love it a lot. Great work, Neffs!

Cuz you said Neffy had an unusually long tail for e female dragon, a trait from her mother....

Ahhhh. indeed. Neffy's Soul-Fire also bares some traits from her mother.

WhenΒ I overanalyze her, she is a very pretty character. And the color combining got 4 words in my head.

?? Odd word choices I must say. Why do those come to your mind when you see her?

Her chest plates is sand, the waves are water, the white hide is sky, and her fins and horns are space.

I wonder what color Xerviyuu's Soul-Fire would be if she needed to use Soul-Fire.

Not sure. Soul-Fire is something that specifically exists in my universe, so I don't know how well it might translate to yours.

It's not just colored special, it has unique effects. If you ask for more about it in my Q & A , I will gladly explain it in more depth.

Hmm... I wonder if you Combine Soul Fire with Dark element? what will happen? Or is the Soul fire depends on the soul of a dragon? Dark if evil and Blue if good?
π: 0 β©: 1
Neffertity In reply to Helion98 [2013-04-28 15:59:44 +0000 UTC]
Soul-Fire essentially IS the dragon's soul, being concentrated and forced into an energy attack. That's why using it is so dangerous. If you use up all of your soul, your body will die.

Wow, that is sure a "Last Resort" thing. Ok last question... can Soul-Fire Resurrect dead creatures?
π: 0 β©: 1
Neffertity In reply to Helion98 [2013-04-29 16:07:11 +0000 UTC]
No it cannot. The only possible way a dragon could ever resurrect someone/something is with a very elaborate ritual that can take up to a century to prepare.
π: 0 β©: 1
Helion98 In reply to Neffertity [2013-04-29 17:04:29 +0000 UTC]
Than my OC already knows that ritual, he did it so many time... well he can use it non stop but not using it until it's necessary.

Helion98 In reply to Neffertity [2013-04-29 17:48:25 +0000 UTC]
Maybe not, but you got to admit that having perfected the Resurrection ritual is a no small feet, after all he spend 250 years on perfecting it.

Most of my OC's can't live past 115 - 120 years.

Then i see why your OC's can't perfect the art of resurrection. Still it's alright, i like your concepts

Wow thats one large ref!! I feel theres a lack of such nicely layered-out refs like these in DA D: People often just draw a character and only put colour charts next to them, I find these sized much more exciting XD
I do love her colour schemes, white is always a very pleasant base colour for dragons, especially with feathered wings! I love the sizing and proportions of the wing span, it looks pretty good to me ^^
I'm just wondering if there is a reason her belly is so dramatically skinny? Obviously on an Earth environment she would'nt be able to fly as she has no breastbone or pecs, perhaps her planet has very little gravity pull or something?:3

Neffertity In reply to Sezaii [2012-10-25 21:55:55 +0000 UTC]
Thanks.
And she's very skinny because these are my characters, and my style. I draw them differently, despite proportions.

okay XD well as long as you know the anatomy is wrong, I guess thats up to you!
π: 0 β©: 1
SyIthian In reply to Sezaii [2013-09-17 23:01:22 +0000 UTC]
technically there is no "right or wrong" way to draw the anatomy of a creature that doesn't exist XD just sayin.....
π: 0 β©: 1
Sezaii In reply to SyIthian [2013-09-18 10:23:17 +0000 UTC]
Oh ovc your correct. Although there are right and wrongs for realistic anatomy. So when someone draws a bird with tiny wings you could say "its wrong". So what I was trying to get at is that "if dragons were real..." then if it lived on this earth it should have "blah blah" type of anatomy. But yes, as you say, for something that doesnt exist it really quite unimportant. as long as you like drawing them that way then go for it ^^'
π: 0 β©: 1
SyIthian In reply to Sezaii [2013-09-18 13:59:35 +0000 UTC]
yeah I completely understand that and see when I started off drawing dragons I based them off wolf/horse anatomy and so they looked pretty decent but I wanted a more cartoony look so I came to develop the style I have now ^^Β
but I hate it when someone criticizes the anatomy of a cartoonish look because that's what it is, a cartoon! people need to just cool their jets about anatomy, they get so carried away....
I'm sorry I didn't mean to rant on you, I just had to get that off my chest Β

RusCSI [2012-09-15 14:26:51 +0000 UTC]
Her reference is sweet to look at :3
However, would you mind if I ask you to make her chest bigger? It would make her more anatomically correct for flying.
π: 0 β©: 1
Neffertity In reply to RusCSI [2012-09-16 01:33:35 +0000 UTC]
I kinda prefer my smaller chests. My characters may not be perfectly anatomical, but that's just another part of my style.
