If you've seen the last page to my little mini-comic, "Kida's Big Secret" you've probably seen this guy.

At first glance, you may notice that he has a scorpion-like tail tip, and his species is listed as "True Dremoran". He is in fact a Dremoran, just like these guys:

But there is something very different about him. As you may know, all other Dremorans you've seen have been entirely black, their wings are tattered and torn beyond use, and they no longer have eyes. Xenophon on the other hand has colored flesh (Dremorans do not have scales btw), his wings are intact, and he still has eyes. This is what makes him a True Dremoran. And in fact, ALL DREMORANS should look like this!

When the species was sealed underground in total darkness, they evolved into what everyone knows them as now. In total darkness, there is no need for colors, wings, or eyes. So that begs the question... How come Xenophon isn't like them...? The answer lies within time. When he was just an egg, there was an earthquake that shook the ground and moved his egg into a single ray of sunlight... When a Dremoran is exposed to sunlight as an embryo, their body remains pure, and untainted by the pitch blackness. When Xenophon hatched, he felt drawn to the sunlight, and constantly tried to bask in it.

I'll give more on how he met Kida, and why she is listed as his mate when I do the 4th part to "Kida's Big Secret".
