Of course it should be legalized. It should also be regulated, by both the government and supply and demand, and taxed, so we can ensure the saftey of prostitutes, decrease STD's, fight human trafficking, and improve our economy. And as for the rest, there's some flaws with that argument. Drug smuggling and human trafficking are more harmful than prostitution is. Whereas prostitution is less likely to be harmful thanks to birth control and protection against STDs. Human trafficking and drug smuggling are always harmful. Human trafficking forces victims to have sex, whereas prostitution (if both are willing) is consensual. Human trafficking scars the victims and they're abused in some ways. Drug smuggling brings illegal drugs that harm people 100% of the time.

Sorry if I misunderstand that, it happens to me sometimes. But I do believe you were referring to drug trafficking and human trafficking? Because those things are way more unethical thanΒ prostitution. I've already pointed out how bad they are. Legalized prostitution is ethical as you can regulate it to make it safer. Like if you have a brothel of hired sex workers, you can make the customers show proof that they've been test for STDs before letting them having sex with the prostitute. If they're clean, they can pay for sex. If they're not, then they are required to wear a condom or get kicked out. I'm pretty sure the bad guys doing human trafficking won't bother to do all this process as it's cheaper that way. Human trafficking is also slavery and slavery is illegal in America and some other countries. Prostitutes who are willing to sell themselves for sex aren't slaves as they're willing to do it.
