Really, though. That was a good finale.

The finale was amazing! Am I the only person who thought of Aang's fight with Fire Lord Ozai when Korra was fighting Zaheer?

Nice! Loved the finale! I feel in the end Zaheer was doing the same thing Andrew Ryan did in Bioshock. He said very similar things in his ideal for the new world. Also I wish Mako thought of using electricity on the Water bender ages ago. Bioshock shows you that trick in the beginning.

Oh god, that's 'The Thing' he's been talking about... Ha ha this is great. And the finale was absolutely amazing. I mean from sudden death (Pi Li, may you rest in pieces.) To Jinora getting her tattoos (finally! Now Kai's next!) to freaking Lin sacrificing herself AGAIN and telling her little sister she loved her just in case to the most heart wrenching for Korra and everything that happened to her. Man it was good.

The thing that surprised me was that they gave it an upbeat ending. I mean, I was expecting seasons 2, 3 and 4 to follow the standard trilogy tone curve (i.e. Act II ends dark), like ATLA did. Not complaining, of course, just observing.
Well, here's to hoping we return to the Fire Nation in Season 4. *Raises glass*

Oh my god yes! And finally get to see the Fire lord and Zuko's daughter, and maybe Sukki since we haven't seen one cameo of her in all the seasons. And maybe Toph just happens to be squatting there for a while on her quest for enlightenment. I would love to see the fourth season focus on the fire nation.

Or maybe since the airnation is going to be traveling will get to see Opal run into Toph on her way. That would be amazing. I can just see it happening like this- Opal's in a small earth nation town and is tired from the heat so she goes to go get a drink from a nice little place and as she orders a drink for herself and Bolin who is accompanying her on her quest she notices nobody's in the tavern except a person in the corner with there dirty feet propped up and a huge bowl hat hiding there face. She heads for a table nearby and sits down and then suddenly the person with the hat on speaks up. "Well that's no way to greet family." And Opals all confused. "Excuse me?" Suddenly the person looks up with the hat tipped back showing old lady Bei Fong with her funny smile. Then Opal screams "Grandma!" And she launches herself with a bit of airbending into the woman's arms where Toph is laughing like Grandmas do with there grandchildren. They start talking about the airnation and Opals Mother and Aunt fixing up there relationship when Bolin comes in. he sits down at the table beside his girlfriend wondering who the old lady is. Then Toph asks "Well, your the new me for the Avatar, Huh?" And Bolin's like "..." Then he see's the flash of filmed jade eyes, the exact same color as Lin and Su Yin and he looks at Opal and see's the facial resemblance along with all the statues he's seen of Toph. He flips his lid and like falls out of his chair and can't even speak a single comprehensible word as Opals trying to calm him down because he's turning purple, and Toph's just like "This kid is weird." and finally Bolin faints muttering something about "Biggest hero..." That would be epic.

Well I still think Mai is the mother of 'Honora' and wife of Zuko, she's the only one that makes sense since Zuko always goes back to her no matter what. So I think if we don't see her personally i think we might get a flashback. As for Ty Lee, if they show Suki then they'll probably show Ty Lee. I'm excited any time we get to see anyone from the original series and see what they did with there lives. I can't take all these flashbacks with Toph and no actual in the present cameo with her. As a Bei Fong lover, it's maddening. Especially since Lin and Su are both each one side of her two contrasting personalities. But Yeah, I would love to see Mai, I always liked her.

Agree with Varrick, it's finally picked up. Book 1 will still be my favorite, though, because Amon was a near-perfect villain (except for the part that it was some random water bender instead of being Asami, but that was just my gripe). This book definitely kept me excited to look into it every Friday, and I guess we'll see how this whole UN-style peacekeeping force will work out.
I predict that it will go the same way as another well-intentioned fictional peacekeeping force did. If anyone remembers the Titans organization from Gundam 0083 and Zeta Gundam, it will probably follow the same path: created to enforce peace, but quickly becoming a corrupt organization that must be stopped. I can't wait for the next season! (And for more hints of Korrasami being legit lololol...)

Didn't really like book 1 all that much because of all the focus on the love triangle.

No argument there, it was ridiculous, but they had to have some love story in there to capture a wider audience within such cramped production conditions.
