Been practicing spriting characters in this artstyle for an Earthbound fangame I'm making, mostly focusing on clarity in pixel art.Ninten was the first character made for this and also the only character here who'll appear in the fangame(sorry Lucas!); the others are just for practice. After the first four on the left, the rest of the characters are from other deviants! They let me sprite their characters so I can practice with a variety of different characters. Do you think it came out well?

I'm glad you like it! I'm trying my best to become a great spriter, and your character was one that really put up a challenge and made me realize a few things I need to work on with the way I sprite. So thanks for the help as well!

Nice try! It does make all of the parts clearly visible.
There's things you'll definitely have to work on, but I think you can become a pretty great spriter if you want to do that.

Your character was actually one of the hardest to get done, so I learned a lot from that one.

hehe is it because of the protrusions from the head or was it the wings or just in general a hard character to sprite? happy to help in some way hehe if you want to practice i have other characters like him such as Gyrocho and gameon feel free to use them just let me know if you Β your going to do a sprite on one

it did i picked xia because i thought you could learn a thing or two from the design with the wings, jewel, the head protrusions and the general anatomy of him he is an unusual character that i thought you could both have fun with and learn from

I'm glad you like the style! Well-known spriter Mit told me a lot about how to make the style more like this.
It's actually easier than ever to sprite in this style, so it doesn't seem worth a commission to me, but once I start animating stuff again, I might think about doing commissions if people want.
