Just a quick touch-up of an older sprite. Pretty simple in terms of animation, but timing the hands was a bitch...

Awesome stuff! The hand animation is really good. My only suggestion is maybe to make the lips/mouth less overhead? The angle might be a bit too much for battle

I actually ended up making the hole just one pixel height smaller, but took the time to fix his mouth opening (I forgot to make his mouth shut in the original animation. Oops >.>), which also hides some of his lower jaw.

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.

I tend to agree with you on the mouth being a bit too overhead, my only problem is that the perspective seems a little loose throughout Bowser's Inside Story. For example, the hole at the top on the Yoo Hoo Barrel is only 4 pixels vertically, while something like Junker's mini trash cans have holes that are 9 pixels vertically (however, this difference may stem from the fact that Mario and Luigi tend to have a sideways pose in battle, while enemies have a three-quarters pose). Ultimately, it was just a matter of judgement, but I can experiment around with the perspective and see what fits best.

Also, if I may ask, what ever happened to your old spriting videos of the Crystal King and Hermie III? I used to watch them all the time.

Sometimes it does vary a little, but generally it's safer to give battle sprites less overhead.
Your changes are already looking better. The main reason I suggested trimming it down is to match the rest of the sprite. The shape and placement of the body, antennae, and hands flow better with a slightly less curved mouth.

Video editing got pretty tiring, and I found my pixel art process to be too sporadic for recording.
