Description
Just some average Ho-Oh sprite I cooked up in late May (the month, not the Hoenn trainer). I'm really behind schedule, which is to submit something at least every few weeks. They say quality before quantity but even this one isn't so great...I might write a journal sometime soon going into greater detail about my absence but this'll do for now.

Also, there could possibly be just a little more contrast between its main red color (the darker orange) and the cherry red, but otherwise I love this. The contrast between everything else is about perfect, especially with the beak / crest and the underbelly.

That is one gorgeous Ho-Oh! I love the little white sparkles on the green wing-tips, I thought it was my screen playing up at first, but it gives Ho-Oh a really nice effect, almost as if it's sparkling. In the cool way however, not that god-awful Twilight way. The posture is extremely well done also, as well as the tail feathers. It's very nice to see some more of your work, I was worried you'd gotten into an art slump, but this is just precious.

If this were to be animated, the small "sparkles" would be flowing outward towards the tips of the feathers and then perhaps even coming out to circle Ho-Oh, creating what looks like an aura. However actually executing that would require something far beyond MSPaint, and most likely my own patience too, harhar.
Also in hindsight, the head came out a tad too big, which is kind of hilarious in a way since I set out to specifically draw a proper-sized head as nearly everything I draw ends up with a humongous one for whatever reason. Probably has to do with me starting every drawing from the face area and then just rushing the whole thing so I can get it over with.

That is, opposed to having a regular-sized one. Looks a little more stylized this way, which is a good addition. However, it seems to make it a little less serious, though I dunno if you were going for that or not, so yeah.
Makes it look quirky and toon-like, which is good in moderation.
