That dog, is one amazingly fast dog mate. I didn't think you were serious, but that dogs lips really do pull back and all.

Did you time him?
This picture still makes me laugh. It looks like something you'd see on some silly postcard, or birthday card.

I've had a long history of addiction in my family..
Meaning BALL addiction. Specially deliciously smelling tennis balls (even more delicious with all the grime and dirt and saliva accumulated over endless sessions of chasing, grabbing and dropping on the floor to have it tossed again).
I guess I'm a cruel guy, I love to make my dogs addicted to the ball fetch game. Obsessed only begins to describe how they feel. They will not eat, sleep, or anything else, until they are dragging their hind feet out of exhaustion and need almost intravenous water.... The moment I'm out the door, they will zoom in on anywhere the ball (s) have been stashed at some point in time (it seems it's a great way to develop their memory capacity and thus training to other tricks, or maybe it's related to bone burying and finding).
Anyway, they have been good friends, currently my last one along that addiction line is very near her end: Blind and deaf, 16+ years old, my lovely mutt now only walks around in circles, eats and reacts to proximity and petting I will let her die naturally. I miss the constant nagging to play, she would roll her ball to my feet if she had access to it, and if I didn't pay attention, she would put her paws on my knees and drop the ball in my lap while looking expectancly at me.
Thank you for this photo, I just wanted to let you know how much it means to me

Awesome shot, I love his mouth. The ball being out of focus is slightly annoying me though, gah.

yeah not a lot you can do about the ball being out of focus. Shutter speed was priority over depth of field.

Cool shot. He small, moves so fast and your at very close range so I'm not suprised by the lens/camera focus not keeping up. My canon was having exactly the same trouble.
Rouse says that 90% of his images at least get binned so it's normal for this kind of photography.

action shots yeah i'm not suprised. Someone else said about close range earlier this morning and somthing in my head went 'ing'. I don't know why I didn't click that before!
