One of the many crazy things that have happened this past month is that I got myself and iPad pro and an apple pencil in the hopes of finding a mobile drawing solution I can travel with!so far my experience has been really freeing and amazing- I did this on a train and an airplane on the way back from Florida. He's a grim little guy (and certainly a lot of tonal whiplash from the Play-Doh pieces! Range, anyone?) but he represents a pretty solid attempt at replicating my Photoshop work in Procreate (a solid little app that elegantly does most of the things i need Photoshop to do, on the pad).
What do you guys reckon?

Technique though--i really like that this isn't too polished looking. It looks like paint and that's really a good thing in my humble opinion. i love the rough brushstrokes at the edges there, that's one of my favourite things, and the very slight sfx on the glowy wispy... thingy... that enhances everything so well, without detracting from the glowy red of his eyes. I would say overall this looks like your app did really good bc the picture looks really lovely. <3

Man, your work always kicks my arse. This piece turned out great. And judging from the 'pencils' you posted, the pressure sensitivity and noise/texture control for the brushes seem pretty legit!
I'm wondering, if you don't mind sharing, if you need to turn off any touch screen options on the iPad Pro to avoid pen stroke conflicts, or if it's that intuitive that you don't need to. I ask because I have to do that every time I want to draw on my Cintiq Companion.

This is amazing and I really love the colors and textures you were able to get with this! I have been back and forth about purchasing an iPad pro or a small cintiq. How is the iPad for handling? It is a big screen but there is not really a stand for it, is it pretty lightweight?
