Description
Another assignment for Character Creation. This time it's an open week...all we were asked to do was to design a positive character in cool colors and a negative character in warm colors. I'm quite pleased with how these came out and I'm really excited to keep moving forward from this point. Anyways, both of these were born out of a lot of quick sketching and thinking about world , context, and story. I won't share anything else about how, but suffice it to say that these were both developed with the developing world of Alfonse & Domingo in mind! Anyways, this is the nasty gimp-monsterbird that resulted...enjoy!

you come up with the most amazing charters. seriously, there's so much originality in your designs. here. the ornate armor makes a curious contrast with the haunted, wizened faced creature wearing it. there's something particularly soulless about those little iggy-piggy eyes and the sharp, pointed stilts are a particularly sadistic touch.
this is a really interesting exercise- i would have never though about using color as the main driving force in charter make up.

What a creepy beak... I like the bone like protrusions on his back and the swollen looking eyes... and the strings? Wicked thoughtful.

That's incredible... really creepy and yet the balance and colouring is quite beautiful! Kind of reminds me of some of China Mieville's monsters, I think you did some fanart of his books at some point?

Oh... wow.
Rather than some kind of bird thing it seems to me as some kind of insect. I've gotta say that the armor, or whatever is earing looks pretty good! I specially like those ropes that make the monster look ike he's some kind of "robot"
Oh, and.... those sticks that come out of his body, in his back, are the arm bones?
It would be stunning to see this sing for real and in movement, I guess.
