Description The new version of my Lightsabers tutorial!!

It presents a few differences with the original.. just thought it needed an update..
as for the rest of the colors:
Silver: Without Colorb Balance
Orange: As yellow, but adding some red, in midtones and highlights, add as much as you want..
Viridian: Less highlights than in the green one, let's say below +50

I think that's all.. enjoy and ask me about any issues you may have with it..

Thanks a lot for posting this! I tried it and I got as far as merging the saber layers, but nothing came up when I pressed Ctrl+B. Do you think you can help me out?

nico89-fx In reply to FireDragonSpirit [2008-03-09 19:44:45 +0000 UTC]

sure thing.. it's a common problem.. the thing is that you gotta merge the saber layers with a black layer and set all of it to screen.. if you do not do that, the color balance filter doesn't work properly and thereby it doesn't show itself.. same thing happens with the hue and saturation filter, only that it appears but no changes are made.. in case it just does not pop up because your Ps shortcut for color balance is different, you gotta go to image/adjustments/color balance.. that's the two issues that happen most often, if this does not happen to solve your problem.. ask me again.. if it works, lemme know how it turned out.. get to hear frm u soon.. and btw, thanks for the fav!

It's really worth the money it takes to get it.. but if you wanna do motion graphics, after effects is the way to go.. i.e. adding saber effects to a video file..

Nice! It's also possible to make colours using the RGB values instead of HSB or whatever system you're using... What values are you using anyway?

nico89-fx In reply to Alexlafortune [2007-07-09 04:21:09 +0000 UTC]

Don't quite seem to fully understand whats the point.. what values am I using for what? for the saber colors?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Alexlafortune In reply to nico89-fx [2007-07-10 02:53:32 +0000 UTC]

Yes. The x/y/z values you're using to describe the colours.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

nico89-fx In reply to Alexlafortune [2007-07-10 14:47:31 +0000 UTC]

it's the image->adjustments->color balance for midtones and highlights.. there're three boxes on top, there, you put those values..
