Your lines are lovely. Β They remind me of the etchings of Barry Moser (who I adore). The subject works particularly well with the medium you chose here: Β the circular fingerprint that guides the composition's lines Β echo the subject itself (the swirling waves of the sea).

I'm going to comment properly on this piece. I'll start off first by saying how I love the unique idea of fingerprint swirls and creating flawless art out of them. Secondly, the reason "Sailing" caught my eye the most out of all of what I've seen is that it kind of makes me think the Bluenose from Nova Scotia, Canada. And then from there it makes me remember learning the song about the Bluenose when I was younger and how I learned that it wrecked on a reef one stormy night, and then from there I think of one of my favorite bands, Great Big Sea, and it just brings back so many wonderful memories of my childhood.Β
Art is supposed to create an emotional response, and I would say this piece created a very big emotional response, so thank you for that.Β
