I love the style very Impressionist and reminds me of a woodcarving or something. The mood is very dark but calming. I feel like the man is walking very slowly very lost in his thoughts or something like at peace with the rain not worrying about getting wet. The setting seems to be some Midwestern state like Kansas or Nebraska. The use of contrast is astounding and the detail put into this work and all your other works is phenomenal. I am trying very hard to find an aspect to give constructive criticism but I simply cannot. Maybe another print like this with a bit of color like some blood reds, or really really kill that contrast with like solid blacks and blinding whites, the full 1 - 10 scale. Great print.

light is handled rather well in this melancholy scene of cold and wet and wander. The strokes add interesting texture and the trail leads to... Β This is actually a story that can be told in many ways. Solitude is manifest and one almost shivers with a desire to find warmth in the light to the left.

Nice to see the obvious comparison with Van Gogh being made. Van Gogh was an excellent draughtsman who evidently admired the drawing of Rembrandt. I'm sure you must have seen some of these www.google.co.uk/search?q=van+β¦ .

This is a very interesting piece of work. If you let your eyes take in the whole scene it is wonderful, but then when you focus on the details and the patterns you can spend a while trying to see them all.
