Description This is my second bubble variation tutorial. I’ll probably continue doing tutorials, I have been having a lot of fun working on these at home. This one definitely has a more finished feel to it than my last one, and it ended up being a good deal longer. It touches on 4 different types of bubbles, and I made it easy so that even the Apophysis beginner will be able to easily understand it.

Credit for the flower/star bubble type goes to =Colliemom

Always remember to have less than 27 plugins in
Apophysis!

EDIT: Made a small change to one of the top pictures.

Hi there, ur tutorials r so useful and interesting !!! Im pretty much a fresher to apophysis n i would liek to ask a question. Lets say, in this tutorial u have explained how to create a certain shape ofa bubble, but how do u get all those crazy fantastic images which r all over the tutorial ? Do u blend loads of various fractals together or all of those effects r achieved within apophysis itself ? Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

nightmares06 In reply to arthur-in [2009-10-15 17:24:51 +0000 UTC]

They're all obtained within apophysis itself. Try experimenting with julian variations

arthur-in In reply to nightmares06 [2009-10-15 18:24:38 +0000 UTC]

So basically Julian is the parameter which sort of is responsible for fillin in the whole pic ? Do u usually use 3 triangles or more ? (the once within the editor) and are there some specific rules what sort of variations u change for each of them ? If u could answer those that would be much of a help thanks.

nightmares06 In reply to arthur-in [2009-10-19 16:37:48 +0000 UTC]

Its usually 3- bubble, a transform linked to bubble(for xaos) and a julian to fill it in.

You could also leave out the linked transform and just use something like oscilloscope on the bubble.

arthur-in In reply to nightmares06 [2009-10-19 20:29:52 +0000 UTC]

is it possible to use any other shapes besides the bubbles, like those mushroom type things, butterflies etc. with the same set of transforms nd using 3rd to fill in ?

nightmares06 In reply to arthur-in [2009-10-19 22:01:13 +0000 UTC]

It depends, there are some that work, and some that go crazy if you try. Get used to it with bubbles first, and then start substituting in different effects to see if they work.

go to the folder that apo is run from, and add a folder called "plugins" for the normal apo, "plugins3D" for apophysis 3d, and add in plugins, a few at a time to make sure if they work. Load up apophysis.

the only problem is that when i downloaded 2.8 it didnt come ina file it just came as a .exe with no file :S

nightmares06 In reply to LIVEyour-life [2009-01-27 07:10:44 +0000 UTC]

Just put the plugins folder right where you're running the .exe from. If it still doesn't work, try `Phoenix-22 or ^cmptrwhz , they might know more than me

don't worry. i found it in one of my plugin packs. it did work when i installed it but then all of a sudden it stopped. i think because i put one too many plugins by accident. now none of the programs will accept any of the plugins. do i need to re-install a new apophysis program to make them work or make a new folder for the apo program or what?

I'm not sure. I'd ask someone at =Apophysis or try *Zueuk Plugins can have problems sometimes.

i guess i'll have to. i was thinking about doing that today. you might be right because i don't remember what plugin pack it was but i do remember name being one that i remember. ok, now about this flame/script stuff: what are they and how do they change the dynamic of the fractal that is being created and rendered? how do i use them and could they be used in adobe flash seeing that you can make these animated?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

nightmares06 In reply to boot-cheese-3000 [2009-02-10 16:57:24 +0000 UTC]

I don't know how to animate them. These questions would be good for someone who has experience with adobe, I've never used it. Sorry!

well the teacher that i've made a christmas present for her daughter (i already made the shoes now i gotta finish the jacket) is a adobe flash teacher. i wasn't sure how they are animated but i do know that flash has script files as well. i was trying to find the link to the fractal mentor project when it was on profile but now it's not there anymore.if you don't have the link i'll ask him.
