I feel as if this is so cliche, even though I'm not sure I've ever seen a photo exact like this before ... well I don't know. I just had to take this because it's a topic that's been on my mind for as long as I can count myself to the adolescents. I'm getting more into conceptual and expressive art these last days and I actually like that, although I am actually stuck with an impressionistic project I had started ... but we'll see how things come.for now, this is all. I love Rosa and indeed I'm glad I did that study on light the other week. It really helped taking this photo.

I think it's great that you took Rosa especially for this shot, because she's a fighter. She's tough and -as a character - she's strong enough to overcome labels like that, and the power in her eyes makes the words and all the prejudices some people may lay on her become obsolete, and this is the positive aspect of your photo: If you don't fear people attacking you, their cruel intentions can somehow disappear.

this is amazing. who cares if it's cliche? i'm pretty sure that very few people have written cunt on a girl's forehead and taken a picture of her. it totally captures the way A LOT of young women see themselves nowadays. great job nikko!

ich hab nur das gefühl, wenn du den ausschnitt ein bisschen größer gewählt hättest könnte man noch besser sehn das sie sich im spiegel sieht.

I can see why you'd think it is "cliched", but then, I don't remember seeing a photograph like this either.
Maybe in a movie or some animated work, but still... photograph-wise, it is amazing.

even though this idea has been done before, i like this pic a lot... how all the words take up so much of her face, but don't cross onto her eyes (just come right up to them from the bottom) makes the eyes pop, and highlights how piercing they are. but the piercing gaze is not on us, the viewer, but on herself... <3 great!

The message hits home and is so timely, and yet it covers an issue that seems to have been going on forever and will it ever end...I dream so.

The thing is, I notice it everywhere. At my school, girls refuse to go to swimming lessons because they believe they are too fat and everyone will laugh at some, whilst in reality, they are really skinny. it starts to worry me a lot, but people don't stop calling people names and gossiping all the time, even though they know it's wrong.
