Storyline

As it turned out, it was a rather small house, where the guys and the girls were living together. It was an accurate two-storied building with white walls and terraces decorated with bricks.

“Here we are”, Lucie was trying to start the conversation somehow, “You’re gonna live on the second floor. Actually, there are nine of us in here: me, three more girls – Lara, Jazz and Melissa, and about the guys: Andreas, Quentin, Max, Alex and Chris. You should be a bit careful with Jazz, she has a tough explosive personality…By the way, we have just passed by her, she was lunging her horse in the pen. However, with Chris and Melissa we don’t talk a lot, even almost never, they are much older and they aren’t here most of the time. Just staying overnight and having trainings – they are working on other jobs, all stuff like that…”

“Maybe we’ll come in finally?” Sophie, of course, had no intension to ruin the relationships with those who she’s gonna live with for the whole year, but she didn’t want to be out of the character either. That was kind of her shell to hide in.

“Well, as you wish”, Lucie was still staying calm talking to this girl. Anyone else would have already lost his patience.

Lucie ran up the stairs to the porch and opened the entrance door, pulling one of the bags inside. Sophie without a hurry went up the stairs as well, trying to notice something through a half-opened door.

Firstly the girls found themselves in a small hallway, the closets in which were full with jackets, and the floor there were the messy rows of shoes, boots and other footwear. The door on the right led to the two rooms on the first floor. Passing through the door on the left, one could found oneself in a living room, which had two further destinations – either to the right through the wooden rustic arch to the kitchen, or to the stairs leading to the second floor and the other rooms.

“Someone’s in here?” shouted Lucie, so she could be heard all over the house.

Sophie, in her turn, was looking around. Although there was loads of unnecessary stuff in the living room, like boxes and magazines, it all looked cozy, without creating chaos.

Suddenly they heard the movement in the kitchen, and few seconds after someone’s silhouette appeared. That was a high guy with pretty long straight ginger hair. He was wearing some old t-shirt, riding pants and sneakers. On his head he was wearing a peaked cap looking backwards.

“Alex, whatcha doing here?” Lucie was surprised seeing him, “You’re gonna scare her!”

“Oh stahp picking on me, for god’s sake! I wanted to have a snack, and our house is closer to the stables that the café… Ey, by the way – salut, Sophie! I’m Alex”, during this short conversation the guy managed to change and his mood, and his intonation, and now he was standing still and smiling to Sophie, preparing his hand for a handshake.

“Nice to meet you”, the girl responded pretty insincerely, after what Alex twisted the corners of his lips and threw a quick glance at Lucie.

“Fine, since you’re here, take her bags upstairs to her room. And after we’ll take her for a small tour around the center together”, instructed Lucie, after what the guy, dropping “As per usual”, went upstairs, grabbing the bags with him.

‘Let’s go”, commanded Lucie, taking Sophie with her, ”So, here, as you can see, we have the living room and the kitchen. Further that hallway there is a door leading to the rooms of Melissa and Chris. Others have their rooms on the second floor, and yours was the only one that had been empty before. And there’s a bathroom as well. You can go upstairs, take a look at your room, it’s the third one of the left. I’m gonna be waiting for you outside”.

Lucie immediately disappeared behind the entrance door, and Sophie, not having the other choice, crawled upstairs. She reached her room just at the moment Alex was leaving it. The guy just threw a little smirk at her, after what he hurried downstairs, leaving the girl alone. Most of the doors had different signs hanging on them, or were just covered with signs. For example, the first door, leading to Lara’s room, and the second one, being Jazz’s, were coloured with pens and paints. There were the names of the girls and multiple signs of different nature written on them as well. The third door was clean and innocent, so Sophie entered without any doubt. Indeed, that was her room, modestly furnitured yet: the table with the chair were standing at the window, the bed was on the left, with one bedside table. On the right there was a large shelving with a narrow wardrobe inserted in it. Sophie’s luggage was standing near her bed. Placing her bagpack next to it, the young lady left the room, leaving the unpacking for later. Right now she was more interested in the center’s territory and in all of the people she had to meet.
