[INSTALL ]ArchivedThe emoticon legend is huge, although it desperately needs an upgrade. This user style does just that!
THIS WILL REPLACE 340+ EMOTICONS!
This user style can be installed in these browsers:
- Mozilla Firefox 4+ (with Stylish for Firefox)
- Google Chrome (with Stylish for Chrome)
- Opera 15+ (with Stylish for Opera)
- Safari 5+ (with Stylish for Safari)

It depends on your browser. For Firefox or Chrome, just go to your add-on/extension manager and uninstall

It is possible to use this under Opera as a User JS. The installation instructions for Opera should be changed to note that. That way it won't be executed on EVERY single page you go on.
Other than that I really like this. It modernizes their outdated emoticon library while keeping some classic ones.

You see, if it were with JS, you would have the same bug as Google Chrome. and that bug is kind of annoying btw, i only use chrome

Didn't Opera come with User JS first?
And tbh I never had any problems like Chrome with User JS unless the UJS specifically has @include http://* in the header.

The problem is specific to deviantART. deviantART has a CSS rule that says "nothing in the artist's comments will have background" and they add !important, which means no matter what.
So with user CSS, it will override that important. But with User Js, it won't. There for there will be no emote in the artist's comments, because a background propety is needed to change the emote.

Is there a way to only upgrade specific emotes? Do I have to edit the CSS code or something? ( I know how to write CSS so I could figure It out if I needed to

Well, each emote revamp is simply one line of code, so you could selectively remove emote. However, Google Chrome has to load it as JavaScript, which is not so easy to modify and install yourself
