Description
1962 would be a year of change for Wales. First of all, Prince Owain VI died (for which ATC went dark for 2 weeks) after 40 years on the throne and was succeeded by his grandson Llywelyn XII. After this, the weak Rhyddfryd-Genedlaethol coalition in the Senedd collapsed and the breakthrough Plaid Llafur won elections by a landslide. Wales saw its first entry in the Eurovision Song Contest, the opening of its first rapid transit system, and its second consecutive World Cup appearance.

In the middle of all this, ATC adopted a new logo and ident. Meant to resemble an antenna, it was liked by many, though the somewhat bland ident was less so. Within 4 months it would be replaced by the next ident.
