Description READ THIS I AM IMPORTANT! EDIT 12/18/10: Alright, I've still been getting a LOT of notes asking for a Toothless plushie. I don't care how much money you offer me (even though I'd love to accept it). I. Don't. Have. The. Time. I have college and work and commissions and life that I have to do, but especially college. I don't have extra hours and hours to devote to making plushie after plushie. So please stop noting me about it. I hate to sound mean, but that's what it's come to.

I've been getting quite a few requests from people asking if I'm commissioning these. I'd love to make everyone their own Toothless, but I just don't have the time, and I doubt anyone has the money to pay for it. Adding up materials and the time it takes to make just one, I'd have to charge $150 or more per plush.

BUT! I do have a tutorial and pattern up in my gallery that tells you how to make your own! Here's the link to the first part: [link]

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This was supposed to be my big summer project. I finished it less than a week after I got out of school. xD
BUT YEAH SO. IT'S TOOTHLESS. TOOOOOOTHLEEEEEESSSS!
I fell in love with the movie How to Train Your Dragon like you have no idea. But the official Toothless plushies are so GODAWFUL UGLY it hurts to think about it. So I made my own! And I LOVE how it turned out! And! it's my first plushie that I've made with my own pattern.
He's made with fleece, is about 3 ft long with a 3.5 ft wingspan. His feet are weighted with poly pellets and his claws are made with some fuzzy-ish leathery material I found around the house. His eyes are made with Sculpey, painted and then sprayed with clear acrylic enamel. His fake tail fin is attached with snaps, so it can come off if I want.
EDIT: Oh, and I used 's Sculpey eye tutorial. Should have put that in here before.
Here are the people that made a plushie using my pattern!
Yeah, the tutorial was really nicely done. And I'm planning on making a smaller one for my Renaissance faire basket ( if you know how to shrink the image so that everything is proportionate, I'd love to hear it - I don't have a clue how to ), and also one for my cousin's daughter who's about 3. It'll be her christmas/belated birthday present, and I'll get the movie to go along with it. She's going to love it
I just got into crafting plushies a few days ago (just with cheap felt) but now I've ordered some fleece online. I just showed my husband your Toothless and he went crazy for it! He adores Toothless and really wants me to make this for him, the fact that I'm still a noob in plushie craft hasn't crossed his mind. Awesome work!
Hey! I made toothless following your tutorial! It looks great, my son is loving it! And here is the story:
Iam male, never used a machinesew before, never cut out a pattern like this, and i made it! but - most of the work is done by you!! this tutorial is precise and kind of funny to read! I did it in 16 hours... finished before christmas! now i like my machinesew so much, perhaps because i bought it for 25 bugs (good old pfaff) and repaired it with a screwdriver and some oil!
i will be happy to send you some pictures!
i wanna thank you for the pattern, the tutorial and mostly for your ideas! good luck.kione (spirit of germany)
i wanted to tell you that this plush is an inspiration to a plush i am in the process of making right now. i made my own pattern, but when mine is finished, i will be comparing it to yours to see if it came out as nearly as awesome as this masterpiece. Thank you so much for the inspiration!
On part 4 you explain how the details on the fins should look. But I honestly don't get how exactly I should sew that.
