Description READ THIS I AM IMPORTANT! EDIT 12/18/10: Alright, I've still been getting a LOT of notes asking for a Toothless plushie. I don't care how much money you offer me (even though I'd love to accept it). I. Don't. Have. The. Time. I have college and work and commissions and life that I have to do, but especially college. I don't have extra hours and hours to devote to making plushie after plushie. So please stop noting me about it. I hate to sound mean, but that's what it's come to.

I've been getting quite a few requests from people asking if I'm commissioning these. I'd love to make everyone their own Toothless, but I just don't have the time, and I doubt anyone has the money to pay for it. Adding up materials and the time it takes to make just one, I'd have to charge $150 or more per plush.

BUT! I do have a tutorial and pattern up in my gallery that tells you how to make your own! Here's the link to the first part: [link]

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This was supposed to be my big summer project. I finished it less than a week after I got out of school. xD
BUT YEAH SO. IT'S TOOTHLESS. TOOOOOOTHLEEEEEESSSS!
I fell in love with the movie How to Train Your Dragon like you have no idea. But the official Toothless plushies are so GODAWFUL UGLY it hurts to think about it. So I made my own! And I LOVE how it turned out! And! it's my first plushie that I've made with my own pattern.
He's made with fleece, is about 3 ft long with a 3.5 ft wingspan. His feet are weighted with poly pellets and his claws are made with some fuzzy-ish leathery material I found around the house. His eyes are made with Sculpey, painted and then sprayed with clear acrylic enamel. His fake tail fin is attached with snaps, so it can come off if I want.
EDIT: Oh, and I used 's Sculpey eye tutorial. Should have put that in here before.
Here are the people that made a plushie using my pattern!
Wonderfull work^^
It's really awesome!
You're very talented!
I'll start making mine in a few days. Thanks so much for making this, the original ones are ... bleh...
I'm having a question to the bases.
I have to print the "bases" out, right?
And your ca wrote, that they should be stratched in word.
How exactly shout it look?
Could you please make me a screenshot of it? That would be sooooo kind from you.
I don't get how big they should be. I read the sentence a few times but I really don't get it.
Cus this part really irritates me and I don't want to make something wrong.
It would be really kind if you would answer me.
nooby-banana In reply to Spyro-uNd-Cynder-Fan [2011-05-04 18:18:22 +0000 UTC]
When printing the pattern out, jus copy each image into Word. Then grab the corner and pull until you reach the edge of the paper. There should be no margin left, the image should take up the whole thing. There will be some leftover space on the bottom of the paper, but that's ok.
I'm not sure if that was any clearer or not. :\
And make a cosplay of Toothless
Hope it's okay!
Really think so? Thanks! It really helped me learn how to sew with the machine (i used to hand sew, but that doesn't really turn out so well haha) I will put a pattern for the saddle on here sometime!
DriftingWolf In reply to ??? [2011-04-02 05:43:19 +0000 UTC]
Hmmm... I might do this over the summer too. But I might modify mine a bit to look more like Toothless (Eye ridges, nose detail, wing vein number, wing/fins size, etc.)
๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1
nooby-banana In reply to DriftingWolf [2011-04-02 21:34:44 +0000 UTC]
Just be careful with the details. With plushies it's sometimes better to be simple with the shapes, otherwise it could look weird.
๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1
DriftingWolf In reply to nooby-banana [2011-04-03 02:14:11 +0000 UTC]
I know. I can't really make a patterns, but I can modify the originals and add on detail and corrections. With the movie and Artbook to work with, it should be easy.
