Description
Taa-daa! My very first coloring tutorial and my first work in flash!----------------------
I've made this tutorial to help our friendly deviant artists who does not have / own a PEN TABLET for coloring their work. After my nine (9) months of photoshop experience and coloring my works with it, I just wanna share the fruits of my blood and sweat.
Hope it helped guys and THANKS FOR DOWNLOADING!
PS. Thanks to ~fallfeathers for doing the simple pre-loader. I have no time on doing it due to work overload.
EDIT:
I never ever dreamed of having a DD but it happened!
Thank you so much to ~Lara-the-Ripper for suggesting this tutorial and for ^FantasyStock for the DD itself.
This made my day

A well deserved DD in my opinion, I am very much a tutorial lover as I always want to improve my skills and stacking this against alot of other Digital painting tutorials, this is one of the best ones I've seen.
Not only is it in a nice compact flash object, but it also covers some very important aspects of digital painting as well as providing step by step pictures.
While I ALWAYS believe tutorials can always be more in depth and detail, yours leaves very little room for improvement. I have faved this and I believe that this is wel worth the DD, congratulations.
More tutorials should be in flash like this

so many people seem to do the greyscale thing, then add the skin tones after. im wondering if im the only person that just paints the skin tones on directly o.0

Neo-Zander In reply to MissPinks [2011-08-06 20:52:59 +0000 UTC]
You arent the only one, I've done it at times when I feel creative, but if I want to bang out something fast and simple, I hit the grayscale and go from there.
as with anything, its all a matter of style. Though since I've gotten my tablet I just paint the skin on and smuge the living hell out of it!

No, there are so many people who do that too. I actually do that. I made this tutorial way back ago when I'm still using a mouse. But then I had the chance to use the tablet, I paint the skin tones directly from that day on.

You're welcome , my "Into the sun" and the "The bird and worm" drawings were done with a tablet. But the others were made by mouse.

Perhaps it is only me, but when I watched this the writing was VERY hard to read. Bits of the letters were missing, requiring much squinting at the screen to make it out.
Otherwise it is an incredible effort and a job well done; better suited to intermediate photoshop users though!

I don't have a tablet either and its been so frustrating b/c I didnt think there was an easy way to use photoshop without one. So thanks again! It was very helpful! ^_^
