Description requested this array. It is used to transmute obsidian. It uses heat to melt and form the obsidian while using a slow cooling process to keep it strong and sharp.
If you where to draw this array on your hand, you could control obsidian and other glass-like materials. You can also transmute metals, but those might react a little different. For example, you in a fight and, Thank God, there is a fish tank near by. Transmute the glass from the tank and create a sword or something, then fight to live!

Hi there, i was wondering if you could explain to me exactly how this transmutation circle works and what research you used to come up with it?

Exactly? Uh. No. I might be making an array expansion for it in coming weeks, which should answer most, if not all, of your questions

I'm not familiar with the symbols used in this and other circle's you've made. Do you have a source for all the symbols you use?
Another thing, some circles are lacking in symbols, so I'm curious as to how they work. (Forgive me, i'm a novice!)

*slides off gloves, stands seductively on stage. Cracks knuckles, opens up PowerPoint.*
Alright. First off, no idea what symbol I have there. I'm on my phone and don't want to waste data by looking. But it's likely an old symbol for obsidian. If not, then it's one I made my fusing symbols.
As for a lack of symbols....
Some arrays are better controlled by the mind of the master, especially in genetic arrays like the characters in FMA use a lot. They are multi purpose, so the nature of what the array does falls in the hands of the alchemist. Did that make sense?
