Sam Wilson (age 39 - 2021) - The Falcon (modern costume - wings deployed)

  The Alabaster Aeronaut, born and raised in a small island from Louisiana known as Delacroix alongside his younger sister, Sam grew up under the care of both his parents, being taught from an early age on the family’s trade of fishing. As a kid during his families’ fishing trips, Sam spent most of the free time he had playing with his sister a game they had invented: recognize as many different species of birds that circulated near their boat.

Growing to become fascinated and fond of birds, Sam began to take care of pigeons and train them as a teenager, to his own enjoyment (and the chagrin of his sister). Having become enamored with the idea of being able to freely fly in the sky, Sam enlisted to become a part of the U.S Air Force.
  Joining their ranks in the early 2000s, Sam’s first year of service was cut short due to the events of 9/11. Taking part of the militaries’ efforts against Terrorism launched by President Bush, Wilson served from 02’ to 08’ as a pararescue airman. In the intermediate time, Sam was selected as the pilot of a repurposed piece of technology retrieved by SHIELD, the SB-315F, renamed after the EXO project.

  In his last year in service, Sam witnessed the death of his wingman and friend Riley Gideon, an experience that would go on to haunt him from then on. Having a hard time trying to find a reason to continue serving and soon left the military and focused his efforts on helping veterans suffering from combat PTSD, moving to a small-facility in Brooklyn. In his time there, Sam met the recently de-thawed Steve Rogers, albeit under a pseudonym he was given, “Simon Grant”
  Both Wilson and Rogers quickly became friends over their shared experiences as part of the military, in time as Steve became an integral part of the superhero team known as the Avengers, Sam was hired by him to be the team’s counselor (as well as a means to keep him and the rest grounded to reality). Despite being part of the team’s support staff, Sam would often assist the team on missions as a scout, despite this showing to be a little-too-dangerous for just a well trained soldier.

  As such and by use of the team’s connections to SHIELD, Sam requested back his old wingsuit to be moved to the Mansion, just in case a rainy day came by. That day ultimately came, after Cap was taken hostage in Rio de Janeiro during one of his secret missions, Sam would take to the skies once again alongside some of the Avengers to save Steve, not as a civilian but rather as The Falcon.
  A hero in his own right and now a veteran member of the Avengers, Sam has become a highly respected member of both the superhero community as well as his old town’s community, having moved back in-between his missions to help in the efforts after Hurricane Isaac. After years of service and a long-standing friendship with Steve Rogers, Sam was asked recently by the good Captain on a new duty for him to partake in: become Captain America.

EXO-7 Model I: Repurposed out of the then-recently adquired SB-315F in order to allow paratroopers to fly on high altitudes, the EXO-7 was fashioned in order to feature a pair of retractable wings for said action. In addition to simply being retractable, the wings are also highly articulated, this first version was designed purely to facilitate flight and as such, lack durability to withstand ballistic impacts, the wings were vulnerable to high impact strikes and gunfire. After becoming the Falcon, Sam's wings were remodeled by King T'Challa to feature both a brand new color scheme that better matched his costume as well as newly-added parts made out of Vibranium.

Trivia and Tidbits:
Sam's callsign during his time in the Air Force was "Snap", given to him due to his quick reflexes and thinking during his deployments.
As an adult, Sam hates eating fish.
After ending his deployment, Sam took back bird-training up by adopting a small baby falcon he named Redwing.
Currently, Sam is maintaining a relationship alongside former Hero-for-Hire turned secret agent, Misty Knight.
As part of his job as the Avengers' counselor, Sam helped Jarvis to create a small support group for the superhero communities' family and friends to discuss and vent on their experiences named Lookups.
To this day, him and fellow Air Force member James Rhodes have maintained a friendly rivalry.
