Description
Only logical continuation...At first I thought drawing just breasts, but drawing whole torso seemed more interesting (besides, I could draw some more butts). Inspired by the butts in the earlier body practice, this was a fun endeavor. I'm still surprised how fantastic the smudge guard is, it's truly a life-safer when the room temperature is abnormally high. I just had absolute control over the pen as never before.Β
At the bottom row I tried drawing different sized breasts. I would rather not draw larger than "L" size, though "XL" is still fairly believable. "XXL" on the other hand goes overboard and the body frame is way too small for such huge breasts.
Again, all drawn from memory. If you draw just nude women for, what, 10 years or so, the image just burns into the retina. I also shaded these according to how I saw the forms, so they might be off in some places.
My favorite is probably #18., for it has lovely dynamism going, very lively posing. #27. is interesting, similar to a pose what I drew forΒ Kohana in Pose Practice 15 . The most fascinating part is how the belly and legs connect, that part is something I have drawn hardly at all before the aforementioned pose practice. I also like #28. for some reason, probably for its simplicity in terms of lines and shadows.

This is looking really good here^^ You sure do practice a lot. Say I've been practicing with your previous tutorials and yeah sure I got a lot more work to do but do you think my artwork has gotten better?

Technically I consider all my drawings as practice.
To be honest about your artwork, I don't see any difference in a period of 2 years or so.

interesting thoughts about the breasts in that bottom row. I think you're basically right in what's given here, and they're very well drawn.
Me, I like very large breasts, but in RL, they never look as good as your 'XXL' pair, not even the implanted ones (partly because Nature has its own take on the weight of breasts that large).Β

35. and 36 seems painful to my back xd ...
Many children in the yaoi have the anatomy of a woman without breasts or with small breasts ... it's a funny thing XD

#35 and 36 actually are fairly common as a "rare" body type. The real trick is how do you make it look nice in clothes.Β
I have been doing some research on different unique body types. And you can play around with them easily, its just you have consider some "rules" as it were.
Leonardo Da Vinci actually wrote down that you can can put a thin face on a fat [thick] body, but you can't put a fat face on a thin body. Proportions adjust to BMI and genetics.Β
And something like #36 will actually cause physiological adjustments to the body. People with #36 also called macro or giantomastia, will have their lower torso pushed down and out by the compression of the breasts. Baring you having a very toned middle.Β
You are mastering a really healthy body conceptualization. Kind of hard to see now in the overall anime/manga art world.

How come you draw nipples but not vulvas?Β
π: 0 β©: 1
Nsio In reply to sErgEantaEgis [2018-07-27 10:52:22 +0000 UTC]
Nipples give great visual cue of the orientation of the surface, although I could also draw an X instead for the same effect. Vulva is secondary feature for this kind of practice, and if you look around, it's not so typical to draw male genitalia either.

I always struggled with the female body, I should probably try to do this. Drawing as much as I can from different angles.
Great work

You definitely should. The point isn't to get them all right, just draw so much that you eventually will get it right. Failed drawings give you an idea where you need to work on and small successes tell you which parts you getting closer to your goals.

Nsio In reply to AliceSacco [2018-07-26 13:34:45 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, at first I read it as XXL being close to my taste, though I took it as a good willed sarcasm. Like, first you describe exactly my thoughts and then later change the meaning upside down with the punchline . However, I read some autistic persons have difficulties understanding sarcasm, is that also the case with you?
π: 0 β©: 1
AliceSacco In reply to Nsio [2018-07-26 14:47:42 +0000 UTC]
Most of the time is.
When I talk I tend to say exactly what I think. I value clarity. But sometimes I forget that people can't hear my thoughs and I leave incomplete phrases. Then, when I re-read them with refreshed mind, I think: "what the hell I did say? This isn't what I meant!". To me that wrongly write phrase above would feel offensive, but also, when I see a person that normally is kind maybe saying suddenly something seemily mean or offensive, I just let it go, wondering: 'what the hell is he/she saying? I can't figure out!' and just stop to answer.
But some other times people fail to undertstand what I mean, even if when I read what I write, it keeps looking clear to me, so sometimes i ask a question and I receive an answer that is totally unconnected to my question, example a while ago on DA forum there was a disciussion about drawing with the shoulder instead of with wrist, about long flowing lines VS chiken lines etc, and I asked 'Even the small details?' forgetting to detailing that 'they should be drawn from the shoulder' (because it was already the theme of the discussion, and because they were talking about how bigger shapes come out better if you draw from the shoulder. Instead of an 'yes or not, because' answer, I was answered with the description of how anatomy of shoulders work.

Nsio In reply to AliceSacco [2018-07-27 11:30:06 +0000 UTC]
Yeah it could be interpreted as offensive, but since I know you for a long time, it's not the first thing I would think. If you were a complete stranger, then it would feel more offensive, or if you kept indicating I'm fetishist or otherwise being mean, then yea, it would be offensive.
So your overall demeanor from the past and that one comment isn't enough to make it sound offensive in this context.
I tend to say things that aren't fun on it's own, and I usually don't advocate the things that I say, so it's the contrast that makes it fun (in my opinion at least). For example, when I'm at work and have very minuscule problem, I may say something like "oh if African children just knew how rough time I'm having!". It's just so absurd to say something like when the reality is completely the other way around and that's what makes it fun.
But yeah, I also tend to have problems with clarity. When I talk with my brother, we are very good at guessing what we are about to say or mean, so it's usually enough to say only few keywords without paying too much attention on the grammar, and we get the message. I would like to keep doing that when talking to others, because I feel I need to save time and compress everything as much as possible, but it apparently makes it difficult for others to understand.
On the other hand, I'm also good at identifying what's the part people didn't get, so I can just say those keywords rather than explain the whole thing again. That's especially the case when someone else is explaining something for another person and I'm around.
Gotta say though, it's interesting that people with autism have difficulties with some things that feel so obvious to those without autism. Like if a typical person is told to draw a house, they don't draw a house, they draw a symbol of house that incorporates things that make up a house in one image. Autistic person has hard time making such abstract representations, so they have to draw "the house" they know. On the other hand, they may have absolutely phenomenal memory and therefore can draw that house with meticulous detail.
I wonder if you can learn rules to identify something like sarcasm. I don't know how many samples and situations you should go trough to make it reliable though, because there are just so many possible variations and contexts. It's amazing how human brains do that in the first place or what are the effects if it can't.
