Description For NationStates; Modeled in DoGa with custom parts, accessories, and an 'amazing' default background!

----

When they finally got around to it, the 'Titan' turned out to be quite the warmachine. Where the Block.2 differs from the Block.1 is in the primary hull with changes to the profile resulting in a machine that can fly lower and faster, allowing it to take better advantage of natural terrain and reduce its vulnerability to opposing fire. That said, it is still huge and we mean huge. Pictured with a 'Pegasus Mk.IV transport for scale - which is capable of standing-room-only passenger flights - the 'Titan clocks in at nearly but just under the same size and weight of its 'competitor', the RDF's own 'Typhoon super-heavy grav-tank. Most of that difference is down to geometry; The 'Titan has a crew of five with a commander, driver, and three weapon system operators while the 'Typhoon has a crew of zero.

Still, what 'bang' the Titan packs it packs a lot of. The twin primaries are two low-cycle accelerators that look bigger than they are; coilguns by another mother, they require a large barrel shroud to protect the accelerator coil assemblies. A much smaller high-cycle accelerator is mounted coaxially on the unseen side. Behind these on the turret are actually the crew ejection modules, then a six-pack of medium range missiles and above those a twenty-pack of short range missiles. Laterally to these and on the hull itself are paired utility grenade launchers for smoke and sundries while behind these are twin six's designed to carry, launch, and recover drones.

Unlike other large-scale machines like the 'Tapani engineering vehicle, the Titan has 'limited' crew accommodations. That is, they are limited to how far one can tip the seat back. Even with the NBC systems providing air recycling and purification, long-duration assignments often result in what is referred to as a 'Titan Funk' by those who have to endure the aroma.

*Edit: After considerable whining, two remote/crew-served heavy high-cycle accelerators were added to the turret hatch rings.
