Description
For NationStates; Modeled in DoGa with a not!rotor design that kinda looks like the Overwatch logo when seen from above? I think?----
OSAMI's first entry into the 'new' and 'exciting' (and high margin) market space of Executive Transportation & Protection is the 'Malakh'-Type GravRotor. Or GravCopter - that particular point of nomenclature has yet to be settled. Naming conventions aside, the 'Malakh' is an armored aerial transport designed to get high-value targets executives from here to there in both comfort and safety. Styled in the fashion of an old fashioned helicopter, it instead uses two 'GravBlades' for both lift and movement and thus providing an aircraft that is safer, more reliable, and only marginally more expensive. Direct from the factory they are avaliable either in Gray, Blue-Scale Camo (Shown), or Sheriff's Secret Police Black.
The standard model has numerous active and passive systems oriented around executive / passenger safety and protection, though most executives tend to be interested in the flashy 'active' systems. All vital systems are encased in a respectable level of composite armor that is normally found on military-grade platforms while the various emissions - thermal, etc - are baffled and shielded to distort or eliminate their passive signatures. Active systems include three - one, two, three - laser-based anti-missile systems, four chaff / sensor disruption launchers with multiple reloads, another three active jamming arrays, and finally a passenger / crew ejection system in case of total platform degradation (getting shot down). 'Screamer' pods are designed to launch in the case of a bail-out and these have a system that is designed to attract the attention of targeting gear. Each 'GravBlade' is independently powered and the aircraft can operating at reduced capacity with only one operational.
Yes, the seat cushions can be used as a floatation device, though there is a full life raft included at the base of the ejection pod.
Both the crew and the passenger spaces are luxurious, with multiple standard options and an exhaustive list of optional upgrades for the high-powered executive. The base model has seating for six - pilot, co-pilot, and four passengers - but this can be contracted to four or expanded to eight by eliminating or adding options. Thanks to a design that is very nearly solid-state, the 'Malakh' has a low maintenance requirement. The craft's range is exceptional, and an orbital travel package is avaliable. The first 'customer' for the Type was the OSA and then OSAMI itself and the design is being heavily marketed to Republic frontier and colony governments with its durability (and survivability) as a key sales point.
