Description "Sacrifice lies in that space between generosity and perseverance -- between the desire to give so that others don't have to and the drive to never give up, no matter the danger, no matter the cost." - Littlepip, Fallout: Equestria

Good god, this took a ridiculous amount of time to finish. Turns out that while a three week vacation sounds like you'd get a lot of art done, mine allowed me absolutely no time at all to work on this. That, and the graphite sketch was truly terrible.

First and foremost, an enormous thanks to , who went above and beyond to help me out with this. Through paragraph-long critiques and illustrative diagrams he turned me into twice the digital artist I was when I started this out, and any credit for this not being a complete wreck should go to him in full. Make sure to check out the fantastic job he did on Jetwave's Battlepip , and this fantastic shading tutorial he made.

For the those of you that are wondering, the suit she's wearing is based on a combination of the Vault Dweller's outfit (FO1), the Vault Utility Suit, and suits from other FOE fanart. I also figured I'd give her a convenient injury, since I wanted to draw her cutie mark too. I used Gimp photo editor and a mouse to make this. Feel free use, edit, and basically do anything with this art, but please credit me.

Finally, a thousand thank yous to KKat, the author of Fallout Equestria, who not only managed to collide a sugary pony paradise land and a murderous post-nuclear wasteland into a truly superlative fanfic, but hooked me on said fanfic and got me to watch the show it was based on.

EDIT: adjusted her posture and proportions to make them more natural, at the advice of a few people. Added title and dirt.

I think Littlepip's pipbuck is on the other leg. She's "left-hoofed"

Whoops... that means it's on the correct leg. Nevermind, lol.

No you were right the first time actually. Pipboy/Pipbuck goes on the opposite arm/hoof, and Littlepip is left hoofed so unlike most Vault/Stable dwellers she actually is supposed to wear it on the right, like I would if I were a vault dweller, since I'm left handed. I just made a mistake and didn't want to make it so that you couldn't see the face of the pipbuck.

Right. Ugh. A grown man shouldn't mix up right and left like I do, lol. I wonder if there's a named condition for that, because if there is, I totally have it.

Dude, so much detail, but anatomy is messed up so bad, such a waste...

How can I improve it? Any specific changes I can make?

First of all, I would recommend using some guides, there are tons of them. I don't know whether you aimed for show accurate or not, but the most obvious mistakes here are proportions (head too small, body too long) and legs (upper part of hind legs too long, those strange bumps on joints). Hope this helps. Also, did you use reference with this?

alright, I just edited a bunch of stuff, I think it's a little better now.Β

Β I aimed for a mix of "real" horse-like features and Gen4 proportions, so the longer body and hind legs/smaller head are intentional- proportion-wise, I tried to keep her more like an actual, real life pony/horse. The facial structure, hair, and hooves are all more similar to the show. And yes, I used references with it. I think next time I'll either go for full realism or full Gen4. I'll see if there's any edits I can make to this.

Thanks! One of the reasons it was such a bitch to draw with a mouse.

I cant imagine what you can do with a graphic tablet if you made this masterpiece with a mouse only!

How many years have you been practicing to achieving this? It's amazing!

Oh wow, thanks so much. I actually only started learning to make digital art a few months ago. I'm really a just a beginner. Drawing with a mouse is a lot easier than it seems- as long as you have a good enough graphite base you can just trace over everything. Also, it takes a ridiculously long time, but it's just tedious, not exceptionally difficult. I'm trying to look into streamlining the process.

Also, is there anything that could be improved?

I cant tell you because I'm not even close to your talent and quality.

But maybe (And just maybe) the figure of Littlepip. I mean, already told, but making a hybrid pony-horse might not be the best choice, it looks extrange. Specially the articulations and the face, those look all but realistic in my opinion (The base, the shading and effects are really pro) The hooves with those articulations looks weird, both hindlegs and forelegs.

I have no right to tell you anything, but I think that what happened is that it looks a bit too forced instead of natural, and that may not be good at the end.

The details is what count for most people, and yours are almost perfect. I'll fav you just to take your backgrounds, cloth style and shading as a reference for future drawings.

I MUST have to do a fallout fanart, FO:Eq is great and littlepip is best OC ever. Can you recommend me some bases of how to draw her Stable 2 outfit, please? Or anyone of the Enclave flying vessels (I was planning on do a comic)

PS: Why is this not in EqD yet? I've seen much worse fanart in there.

I think a lot of your art is very good, actually . I'm about to do some editing on her to make her proportions a little more believable, and every bit of advice helps no matter who it's from- it doesn't take a Michelangelo Β to point out mistakes. I'm going to try and make her a little more Gen-4 like. It's incredibly rare for me to attempt to draw living things, so this is very new territory for me as well- mostly planes, ships, machines, and buildings are my bag.

As for the suit, as references I used primarily the Vault Dweller, the Vault Utility Jumpsuit, and John Joseco's artwork.Β

So think: the pauldron/belt/knife from the first+ the suit from the second+ the armor plates from the third. I knew virtually nothing about drawing clothes and still don't, but this was fairly useful as a reference:

Helping you improve your art is a worthy cause, and I am glad to have been involved (however tangentially) in the creation of this (mouse!!!) masterpiece
