Glad you like it. Believe it or not, the cube bubble from panel three was originally intended to be the punchline; as I thought about how Twilight would react to it, the idea of what kind of bubble would impress Derpy led to this.

Aw, I like Veggie's stuff; personally I think it'd be harder to have to tweak everything to put together a dead-on show-accurate comic than to just sketch the rough idea of the pose like I do with my Escher-haired Rarity and wingless (someone pointed it out to me yesterday, I didn't notice the entire week I was working with the comic) Derpy.
Besides, he's put in his time, puts out consistently enjoyable work on a regular schedule, and built up his audience bit by bit. That's how it's done; he's earned his spot.
(Having said all that, if I made EQD Drawfriend or one of the Comic updates, I would squee for a week. Possibly two.)
