Description
Watercolor painting, 6"x9"This is the final painting from this particular reference. This is the same reference as what inspired my "Capture the Wind" sculpture. ( www.deviantart.com/observer14/… )
While my primary art form is figurative clay sculpture, I have also always loved drawing the figure, either from life or from references. I've played around with watercolors (as I've posted here in a few instances), but never was able to get any real instruction in the technique (other than what I could just figure out by getting some paints and trying it). I've been using my time here at home to follow up on some DVD courses, as well as some instruction from another artist friend (online from Mexico!) The painting which I posted earlier started out as a "practice" for this painting, experimenting with some different color combinations.
