Description Republic P-43 Lancer of the Republic Of Chinese Air Force. 2 P-40s are returning from a mission

Some flew with the Flying Tigers, and even though it performed poorly, pilots requested to keep them because it was the only aircraft able to catch a 'Dinah' at altitude. Apart from that it was branded obselete when it entered service and was quickly withdrawn.

I think the Lancer is okay as a plane. I am aware it handles poorly but many planes that I love handle poorly, at least in terms of maneuvering. In War Thunder, I can use it effectively but that's mostly because I practice a lot. The F-100 super sabre had a bad turning ability yet it's one of my favorites, same can be said about the F-4 Phantom.

In my opinion, it's skill that can determine what can make a plane great. The P-43's, F-100's, and F-4's all had flaws, but if given a good pilot then they are probably some of the best planes around

You can definitely see the family resemblance with the P-47 in this drawing.

really dig the pointillism

the face looks a little funny though, maybe it's just stylizedΒ

I'm simply terrible at drawing small faces, that why it looks like that.

And it's not pontillism - the technique I use is a mix between crosshatching and circling.

i think the human shirt shadows and the guy standing next to the prop needs a bit of shadow on its feet coz it looks like its floating in the air, but overall very Nice

Oh, still alive I see...

his shadow pretty much merges with the aircraft's and the fuel hose, that's why you can't see it. And for his shirt: I tried to make it look more wrinkled, but pretty much failed.

Yes, i am still alive. i jsut moved slighty off war thunder's community since it is a bit cancerous and moved on my my car cummunity. soright now i am doing car drawings for people and getting payed thats all.. in terms of the human i think a slight shawdow around his feet with a HB would help, just very gentle shading since even in bright sunlight there is still a bit of shawdow around your shoes and torso.

Hope to see you soon!

could fit at BR 2.3-3.0. Might split the US fighter line for that into lighter (P-39/40/51 etc) and "heavier" (P-38/47/61).
