I can't have been the only one who's noticed this. I mean, all of my dragon fancier catalogues and such are full of these. Come on!

I have a to-do list and I go off and make this. At least it's self-imposed.

"Don't dress a dragon in a tong. Nobody wants to see that"

I laughed soo much.
...It is pretty sad how common this is.

Yeah...fantasy art isn't very famous for being hard-core femminist empowerment, is it? XD

Still, awesome! Me likes!

This is excellent! 'Cause no, you're not the only one who's noticed. I'm always sitting there thinking, "Why would anyone go into battle - or heck, go out in public - dressed (or undressed) like that?" My fellow fantasy buffs and I have decided it's a law: All fantasy art shalt have a naked woman.

hehehe... oh dear... you got carried away I'll say. I hate it when that happens and I'm trying to get real work done... I just get lost in thought too easily these days.

Haha!! I lOVE that! Had me rolling. Tho very true... sane can be said for sci-fi & ... well, many art forms. it all should be re-titled: "oggling (naked) women art"

You said "Make sure the dragons doesn't distract from the focus."

Yet on the dragon's eyes you put in the symbol for complexity. For confusion. Therefore the viewer's gaze is directly drawn to the dragon's eyes.

In order to not make the dragon stick out you need to first desaturated it and second make its eyes BLANK. Just a blank circle. Like Rremly eyes.

Then the focus will turn back to the woman. Oh and you are already in a downhill battle because the woman is already between 25% and 35% saturation now. The dragon is at 40% to 75% saturation.

But the woman's skin is a lot brighter than the dragon's subdued tones. The eyes are drawn the light spaces. SHAZAM.

Hmm... I did not regard that because I did not understand it.

Ah, typo. Eyes are drawn to light spaces. I believe it's the same effect that creates the illusion that a white square on a black background is larger than a black square on a white background despite actually having the same dimensions.

Artists have to live, eh? Need some coins to buy more art supplies and caffeinated products and such.

Next you can do an anime tutorial!

Er, um - yeah.
