I didn't originally pick up on Dumbledore... But that's because I was a shallow prick obsessed with the younger characters. I hate it when people say that she made it up afterwards. It's all there in the books, even if it goes unsaid.
I also hate it because I find it empowering to know that the books' most powerful wizard was like me. And those non-believing douchebags are trying to take that away from me!
So, please, do go on. The more people we have defending this, the better. I praise your work. It looks just like Ms. Rowling!

France is the country of love, and their 3 basic principles are Freedom, Fraternity and EQUALITY
In 7 days, the French government are going to vote on a bill, the final result of which will decide whether a gay widows and widowers deserves a support pension after their loved one has died. A straight widow or widower already has the right to this pension, but it is a real possibility in France that the government may decide not to pass this law and continue to deny gay people equal rights. THIS IS DISCRIMINATION. You can do something about it!

Well this is who I am so it goes both ways.
I don't hate gay ppl or anyone for that matter.
I treat them the same as everyone else I meet.
If they are nice and polite to me, they earn my respect.
I just don't like their choices.
It's just like if I had friend with a drinking problem.
I wouldn't hate them for it but I would say drinking is
bad, that they could do better and I would try to help them.

I appreciate you standing up for what you believe in, it's very noble; however, I hate it when people compare drinking problems to being gay. Drinking is your choice, you choose to go out and get drunk and maybe even addicted. But being gay is not something people just choose to do. I didn't wake up one morning and say "gee wiz it sure would be nice to be gay!" no one in their right mind would choose to be gay. and it's not something you can just decide not to be either.

I brought up drinking and choices because I don't believe people
are born gay. I think somewhere along the line it was introduced
and encouraged. It makes sense to me since there are all those
single mom's out there. Plus a lot of ppl don't have a proper father figure.
Also, I have seen some gay people stop being gay because they
knew/felt it wasn't right. It took determination but they made the change.
And most important: they weren't changing for others approval, it was for
themselves.
Everyone has their own challenges but I think being gay is a challenge
that some people encounter and can overcome.

Everyone has feelings or inclinations to do something. It's how one acts on them that makes the difference. Lets say I have the sudden urg to eat ice cream all night. It would be in my best interest if I suppressed that urge and controlled my feelings.
