Yeah, that's how I see it, too. I haven't had any thing more that an off-putting comment or two yet, but I see it a lot just reading comment sections on other stuff. Offering thoughts is fine, honestly I'd love to see people making predictions /fan theories/ships about my comic/characters,  it's when fans go from speculation to acting entitled, that I find obnoxious. The assumption that characters reflect the creator scares me more, there's such a witch-hunt mentality that goes around lately, that can quickly get out of hand and do some real damage to a person and their work.

Dear god, how vain does someone have to be to think like that? I bet they suddenly won't be thinking she's them once they see her act like a bitch.XD
I have yet to get that one (though I might if I actually showed my work to people in real life). So far, I've mostly just had unsolicited idea pushing. Or people mistaking my attempts at avoiding spoilers, for laziness or lack of thought on my part, and trying to tear into what they think are plot holes or lack of character development.

    Of all the comics i used to follow on here, yours is the only one i still follow. I may take internet breaks from time to time, but i will always come back and take a look. The world you created is fascinating, colorful, and super detailed. It really draws people in and the story is very realistic and makes sense. Its like, a slight distortion on reality that wouldnt seem too out of place in the world. It reminds me of things i used to to write once upon a time... can you believe i applied at Marvel once? They turned me down saying my story was too violent and graphic... maybe i should have tried DC, lol XD

Shit, maybe you ought to try again, Marvel seems to be really going for gritty/edgy nowadays. What with bringing Deadpool up to being one of their most most popular characters, and all. Idk, maybe the comedic factor offsets it enough for them, they don't want "serious+ violent and graphic" :shug:

Sploorp! I love the Sploorp comic! XD hahah! Eh, maybe, its been a long time since ive written anything ive actually put effort towards. Or put original characters in. lol, I mean, i wanted to write for X-men in a bad way, and the short i sent in had a kid in a prison like situation with a few others and one rather sadistic guard. I mean, there was other guards too, but this one was an asshole. So the oldest kid took charge of the situation and became the leader of their cell mates. I have a feeling i know what pushed them over the edge, and it may have been how i had them escape. Basically the guard liked taking a sharpened awl, and carving his own identification system on the prisoners. The oldest offered him their arm willingly, stretching their arm out between the bars of the cell. As the guard was cutting into their arm, they swung their arm up, driving the awl through it, and pulled their arm back into the cell so they could remove the awl and reach back through, stabbing the guard in the throat and killing him... the character who did that did not have any healing powers and later got a bad infection. Im pretty sure they didnt like that, lol... It was the only thing that made sense to me as far as escaping the situation. XD

Okay, I can see that, the context is pretty different from the excessive gore of Deadpool, but it's not so much "graphically violent" as it is just dark. Still doesn't mean they should have just knocked it, they have a large audience, it's not like they're only marketing to kids or something.
You could always try changing it up so that it's your own original thing rather than X-men (I've seen people turn fan projects into original projects by creating AU versions of their fan-characters and evolving them from there), and try a different publisher, maybe Dark Horse

Is Dark horse still a thing? I had considered that actually, maybe i still will once i get my life in order a little bit more, lol. I just found out that a skill i already have may pay a lot and if i get a little better at it i could get a much better job. ASL translators get like $55.00 hourly if theyre good. Im conversational yet, and i havent had much reason to practice for a yearish, but i still know a lot. Beats the hell outta retail.

Yeah, retail for over a year now... it sucks, man does it suck, but its a job anyways.. i keep trying to apply around to other places, but no one seems to want me  
If it wasnt for the settlement i actually won from the job i had that fucked me over, i wouldnt have a bank account at this point Thats a weird feeling
Im actually thinking about getting a second retail position at some other store somewhere.. i mean, my manager is hella younger than me and its getting annoying but the discount on shit is too good to throw away until i get my self set up, lol I got a new fridge for like $200!! We really needed one too, the old one was a fire hazard and sucking electricity something awful.
