Edit: Trying to get around to adding alternate forms to my shapeshifter characters' pages. At least the main ones. Kind of been lacking in time lately, we'll see what happens or if I can manage to work on anything else in the meantime...Sorry to spam a bunch of only semi-new stuff. D:

Just a coincidence, a notch or two in the ear isn't an uncommon injury.
Fen is mainly just obsessed with showing up Vilkas and eliminating him as his competition, rather than some deranged personal fixation that wearing an effigy might satisfy; he wants a trophy from killing Vilkas for real.

I dont know how many times ive been clipped by bike handles or shouted at "I"M ON YOUR LEFT!" when its a 2 lane trail, wide enough for a truck to drive on.. like, "dude...you can be on my left all you want... you dont need to announce it... "Β

lol, it's supposed to be German-ish. The "J" is like an English "y", "ei" is pronounced "ay" (like in "beige") and the "ch" is like a "k"

Majority of my characters don't have real last names, just ones that I put together based on words and phonetic patterns in whatever language their ancestral background is. But that's a whole additional long explanation...

I'm so conflicted with this character. He's so damn believable and rounded that I just can't sit here and say "damn, what a douchebag", and yet I can't help but sit here and say "damn, what a douchebag". Guess it's possible to like and dislike a character simulatenously; that's pretty much how I'm feeling right now.

Well, he was always more or less my main antagonist, but I can't stand one-dimensional bad guys; the ones that are made just for the audience to hate and are bad just because they are, it's just the reverse of a Mary Sue. Β

I agree. Making your villainous characters rounded and believable is definitely a better route. I hate the bad guys who are all, "I'm going to take over the world! ... Just... Because I want to... Then I'm going to blow it up! Wahahaha!!". Get a fuckin' hobby, dude.

The super-villain 'just because' is the epitome of that, and just seems stupid. But you still see it in the less extreme case, of just making the bad guy an awful person whose only personality traits are obviously chosen to make them someone the audience hates. Unless they are clinically a psychopath, then why are they just completely sadistic or whatever? Especially when you get into the spoiled brat tropes, (Fenrir definitely is a spoiled brat, but it's not the entire reason why he's so malicious) "Mommy/Daddy give me everything therefore I'm pretty much a sadist" doesn't exactly add up to me.

I definitely got "spoiled brat" from Fenrir. Turned him into a bully, that's for sure. Being in constant violent opposition against Vilkas gives him enough reason to be malicious but I like how his character goes beyond even that. So rather than being a one-note villain, he's interesting and actually realistic. Of course, the way you use his character is also a big part of it, not just the way he's set up on a character sheet. From what I can see, though, I do like him in a strange "you're a fucking douchebag" sort of way.

For him it's also the contrast of being told all along that he's the better one, but then the longer it all goes on, it's becoming more and more apparent that that's not necessarily true; but he was never actually taught how to be better and being the bigger bully is the only tactic he knows.
