I actually think this is my favorite of all of them. He's clearly got a lot of issues, not the least of which stemming from his painful condition, I'm sure. It's intriguing, and almost scarily realistic, that he'd use his best friend's death as an excuse to continue on down a path of self destruction. He's got to be quite intelligent, if he's allowing himself to be fooled by his own insecurities and fears. Seems quite manipulative of himself and everyone around him, like he's trying to hide who he really is. I think that's what makes him so interesting to me: he's trying to hide who he is because he's stubborn and afraid.
At least, that's my take on him. Handwing is definitely my favorite of your characters, followed very closely by Twilight.

Thank you! You're pretty spot-on about him hiding behind his outward personality. I'm really glad to hear that you like him, especially given that he's not exactly like-able in the typical sense; and the fact that (aside from the whole non-human thing) he really is one of my more realistic characters in terms of the life situation he's put himself in being actually plausible, but not in ways a lot people like to think about. Which actually makes me really like writing/drawing him, but I often think that other people probably find him to be very off-putting.

It's definitely the realism behind him that draws me to this character. Plus, I often find things to enjoy about otherwise "unlikable" characters. Handwing is believable, and I can see why he does the things he does, while also understanding where he's coming from.
And him being hot probably has nothing to do with anything... At all... *cough*
