In other words, American Conservatives. Really though the Tea Party is a sad thing. A testament to how dearly and violently people will cling to utter nonsense, especially their beloved "Freedom" illusion. That and they make up for their lack of an academic foundation by reading patriotic quotes and having grown men dressing up in tights and tricornes. Children, the whole damn lot of them.

The nature of conservatism is that it thinks all good that can be done has already been done and that anything else is evil. It's a movement that relies on small mindedness and biblical tribalism. 

That they should covet freedom so much and seek to deprive it of others is the hight of horror and disgust for me.
